Can’t believe you got suckered into the old i’ll get you something later, You will never see the bumper as she will justify not getting it and if you push make you feel guilty as she doesn’t have the money and your repair looks good and off roading is childish, and so forth.

Should have struck while the iron was hot!

Edit: my ex did this with my old tundra, some how hit a fence and managed to back the truck into the wall. I had back up beepers which she ignored. She turned on the water works. Diff is I knew she could never afford to fix it, reward well I still never got paid out on all of it nor will I ever. Diff is I aimed high she agreed and what I got was what I wanted anyways, she thinks to this day she managed not pay me back.

These threads could be avoided if Wife's and Girlfriends were not in the drivers seat. As soon as you buffed it out and painted the damaged area and showed it to her all hope of getting a new bumper were gone.

Maybe he is the guilty party and blaming it on his wife?

    Just joking.

The one thing about my wife is I can trust her driving. She is the safest most cautious driver I have ever seen. I then taught her how to drive my 400whp 4 cylinder awd talon, rock crawl my 4runner and drift my cts-v. Lol.

So this happened in a parking lot. Hit and run, no note. Insurance deductible is 1k. It doesn't bother me, but can the corner be replaced or is it a total new skin?

90% of that will buff out luckily, then personally I would leave the rest.

Fix it. It’s gonna bug the shit outta you. Happened to me also with wifey, and I had to get a new fender flare and original paint. Feel much better now.

I'm gonna go with the obvious armor answer to the situation. I've never been one to care a ton about the cosmetics of my vehicle, mostly because I drive a beater that people just absolutely love to hit, and the truck, we off-road in. In all seriousness though, if she's a good driver and never does this to her own vehicle, then you should make her drive the truck more to get used to its dimensions. It took me a few times driving the taco to get used to knowing where the rear is vs where the front is when parking; especially since we have a double cab long bed and I drive a tiny sedan. Once she drives it around a few times she should be able to whip it around with no problems, at least I'd hope so.
For instance, if you can back up close like this without either party biting their nails; she's ready, haha
Also, a side note, if you do decide to armor up in the front, if you get any sort of guard that you can see from the hood, it's a huuuuuge way to cheat on knowing exactly where your front end is. I saw a few people recommend front cameras, I think that's pretty extra. I'm probably the only person who'd ever say this, but I really hate using the backup camera on the truck. It's pretty unnecessary unless you're squeezing in a spot or hooking up a trailer, and I think it's easier to get a feel for where your front end is vs your rear when it comes to a truck, but I'm an exception, not a rule. Just sounds like a really costly modification. I think more experience driving would prevent anything like that from happening again.
