Hey guys , so i just purchased a 19 tacoma trd sport. The tires that it comes with , i want to keep but change the rims. I do have some 17s fuel but am wondering if they would fit with the stock tires, if anyone can help! they are the 265s. or would i actually have to look into more aggressive ones?

Stock OR wheels are 16”, sport are 17” so you can only fit tires with a 16” hole cut out of it, not 17”...essentially. Make sense?

    Look up 265/70 r16 for 16” wheels.
    265/65 r17 for your 17” Fuel wheels

Lots of tires in these sizes

I believe stock wheels on the sports are 17's.
The off roads and sr5 and pro came with 16's and limiteds came with 18's I think
It doesnt look that weird, you lose about 1/2 inch in height though from the 7 inch wide to 8 inch wide, if they are 9 inch wide then they start to look a little weird.

A TRD Sport should have 17" wheels from the factory.

Bigger tires require :sawzall:that may affect warranty possibly.

They will work as long as the sizes match and I think you are good in that department.

OP - I quoted this one as, sort-of, most relevant out of the many

Your Sport tires should be 17in (as you mentioned)
You report your Fuel's are 17in - still good in that department for fitment

What you don't report is the width of your Fuel's
While width doesn't affect height that much, what it affects is tire stretch.
Probably not a problem with our specific truck specification wheels, but what is the width of your Fuel's?

I also assume the offset is correct for our application, but check and send to be sure
