I was 36 when the Tacom itch hit me. But I was a 4Runner newbie at 24 so that make me a born again virgin?

Haha yep those were the most rusty damn trucks ever. HUGE difference from today's Tundra but lots of fun memories of that lil SR5 :)

I stopped having birthdays as I ran out of digits to count them on. Twenty somethings are more likely to attend meets, for anything let alone Tacomas.

I work on them . There great and have there place but I've had 3 toyota 4x4's since I've worked at mopar ( collision ) . I've only owned 1 jeep in my life .
There just a little to pricey for a toy and not very practical for someone who works with there hands or owns a house . I mean there not really even good if you have 2 kids . By the time you get loaded up there is not enough room for a backpack each lol.

I like that- "born again virgin".
My first Toyota pickup was a 1981 and I was 27.
This Tacoma bought in November and I'm 64.

Thank you . Built like a tank . Same with the roll cart .
I've got more in tools than I have in the truck including what I've done to it . Mods I think what the kids are calling them lol . Or maybe malls because I always see them turning in the mall when I'm leaving work .

39 here, bought my first Taco when I was 22.....drove it 15 years. Couldn't afford a 4X4 so it was a pre-runner. Not that any of that is relevant, I think Yotas are just a lifestyle.

Turning 40 this year and I'm in the best shape of my life. Quit soda 11 years ago, quit cigarettes 9 years ago, got the alcohol down to one or two beers on Saturday night after the kids hit the rack. In the gym 4 days a week and cycle 40 miles on a bad week.... Finances are straight, debt is minimal and my credit is damn near perfect.

I'm an instructor in the military, retiring this month and I can flat out smoke a lot of 19 year old fresh out of boot camp students both Marines and Navy on P.T. runs.

    Middle age rocks fellas!

FWIW: My father-in-law is a "team guy", 50 yrs old and on active duty. He told me that men hit their physical fitness peak at 43. I'm onboard with that line of thinking.

I read a few pages of this thread and decided that I'd seen enough...

WTF? Do you "kids" think we're supposed to give up our right to enjoy life, mount up on our Hover-round wheel chair, and just wander off into the darkness once we hit 40? 50? 60?

I'm 61, almost 62...I started 4 wheeling when I was 16. Just recently bought 4wd #18. I have 2 now (Tacoma and FJ Cruiser) 2 grown kids, 6 grand kids, a great grand child on the way....and I have no thoughts of giving up yet. And the group I just got back from a wheeling trip with? I'm the YOUNGSTER.

What the hell....Ask me if I think many/most of you are too YOUNG to have a Tacoma?

    Ageism knows no boundaries.
Would it be ok to have these same discussions about gender, race or religion ? No.
    Age prejudice is real.

(Not really a rant. Just suggesting some “food for thought”.)

They don’t discriminate where I work, they make me do all the work and let the young ones screw off. The young bucks are to busy on there phones to work. My boss thinks a text or an e-mail will solve a problem, meanwhile I go and get it solved. He will send a text and 4 hours later gets a response, i solved the problem 3 hours ago, sorry boss.
