    i really like this and am considering it on my white Tacoma. i also tried to apply some 3M 1080 vinyl on my last car and thought i'd save money and do it in my garage. so by the time i took my mess to a proper shop to do it over, i paid almost double. live and learn... not sure i'd even try and apply any of this stuff myself now.

    The videos make it looks easy. But even with the right set up and tools and patience there is no replacement for experience. I only have $30 invested so even if I have them redone professionally im not out much.

    Edit: then again in sure not all vinyl is the same. Maybe I just got cheap stuf that's hard to work with

    use a different variation on the color theme. could also do a matte black/dark/white/etc background with the stripes on top of that.

    The fleet graphics company I work for produces and applies decals like these all the time. We are in PA tho. We could ship them out but I did see a few posts about the lack of experience in vinyl application causing headaches. But if there is anyone in PA I would help do a few installs

    I love these retro stripes... my only hesitation is if you decide to take them off later or go to sell your truck down the road the sun-fading will surely leave them outlined in your paint job. I bought a 2013 Honda CB1100 in the fall and the original owner never removed any of the stupid factory warning stickers on the gas tank etc. That bike has been garaged its whole life and you can STILL see the sun fading around where I removed the stickers once I bought it. Not a huge deal considering I paid $5,000 for a used bike but on a $30k+ newish truck... not sure I'd risk it.

    Follow up: went with this subtle nod next to the TRD. Found a guy on Etsy that made the stripes, then more recently found another guy, Tacovinyl, who makes even more classic tri-color stuff, just ordered the hood stripe too..

    I am 100% with you on this. I'd love to play around a bit and have some fun with various schemes, but I don't want ghosting. I had a hood mask on my Accord in HS when they were briefly trendy in my area (yeah, yeah) and after a summer, I had a sunburn line on the hood. Eventually it faded, but it was there.
