Hi Tom, 2 Thanksgivings ago we stumbled on a Sony Bravia 4K 65 in. Tv at Best Buy. A guy bought it and his wife must have said take it back:eek:. It was still sealed with the factory shipping tape and because it left the store thay had to sell it as an open box item. Got it for 70% of the original cost and if it was damaged we could return it for a full refund. Got an 18 month no interest on the credit card. Was a win/win. The only issue I have is its not bluetooth compatible but I bought (29.99 on Amazon)a transmitter that works great with no noticeable voice lag(like you get in Japanese translated movies like the original Godzilla). Just another place to look. Good luck with your search.

    Very nice.
How much space have you lost though?
I found you can cram more crap on open shelves lol...

Very nice, always wanted a pantry in a home. Built a lot kitchens with a pantry off to the side. Some have had a door with full glass, “ PANTRY “, painted on the door. The coolest kitchen I work on had a walk in cooler with a wood and glass door. The butler pantry was a hallway that led to the dining room. Imagination has never been my problem, it’s the money thing.

In reality, none. Having the shelves led to keeping all sorts of stuff there we didn't need - crap just as you noted. Lynn sorted out the extraneous things we'd accumulated over the years and either moved it to a more appropriate place or got rid of it. She was able to place everything else back in the cabinets - or on top where she keeps baskets that she uses. Once the countertop is installed, she has a few things that she's keep there but, otherwise, it is a much better layout for us.

Thanks. We should have put the cabinets in when we built the house - it is a much more efficient approach. Our house is a custom design/build - we worked with an architectural firm who designed it with us. Of course, we had to scale back a bit when the first design exceeded our initial budget by a bunch. Tat actually made us look more realistically at what we needed/wanted and we got a better house in the end. One of the best things we did was to design the laundry/mud room with a full walk in shower with both a shower head and lower spigot to fill buckets. You can enter from the garage or a side porch so you don't have to traipse through the house, pull off dirty clothes from working outside, throw them in the washer and take a shower. It is also a life-saver for dealing with muddy dogs.

 Wish we had a space for a pantry. The cabinets look great.

Late to the party, but I've had my 04 Limited for about 9 years now. 61 and still going, just not going like I used too. After 3 spinal fusions, not doing as much off road as I used too. My DD is more of a grocery getter than a utility truck. Haven't been hunting or fishing, or camping in 6 years. Sleeping on the ground just isn't going to cut for me any more. Glad that I grew up when I did. I still get out from time too the shooting range, but I'm pretty limited to my outdoor activities. when I was in my 50's, used to wish I was back in my 30's, but now, I think nope, better off to just stay where I am. I still try and do as much of the work needed on my truck, but I have to recruit some help lifting heavy things. This Tacoma only has 132k miles and will be my last vehicle I own, unless it up and dies on me.

Wife & I cut down 32 sweet grass clumps today. It's an annual chore for the growing season. Used the sawzall with a fine blade then hauled the clippings to the roadside on a tarp (3 trips). We are both tired & sore but it sure beats using the old hedge clippers! (we're 66)

Wife and I spent most of last Saturday removing snow from our roof and around the house. Kicked our butts, then all the snow melted anyways. Who needs a gym membership, own a home and take care of it.

Yes getting older has it's ups and downs, that's for sure. But thank God for better living through Chemistry.:) I do have days though where I feel like I have more pains than Carter got pills. I am going to attempt a day in the Uwharrie NF this spring, just to visit some of my old haunts. What I'd really like to do is be bold and adventurous, and go back to Colorado, and spend a month just camping in the Rockies. I miss those day's of my youth. Many fond memories from there. I had friends in Englewood, and I stayed up there for about 9 months looking for work and vacationing back in the early 80's. When Winter started blowing in and I lost my roommate, I headed back down south to Texas and warmer weather. I've been on this website numerous times looking up info on Tacoma Repairs, and decided to take the plunge and join. So like it or not here I am. I do a lot of surfing in the 1st gen section, and boy oh boy are there are some very rude and obnoxious replies posted there. I read them and move on, not my cup of tea, and I'd rather not get involved in some forum argument. But otherwise, glad to be here.

    Evening all:
Welcome David, first fill up the cooler, then pull up a chair on the porch and join in.

We went ice fishing this morning, BURRR, I caught 1 bluegill in 3 hrs.! Jim's BIL had a couple decent perch and a few bluegills, Jim caught a 20 1/2" largemouth and about a 12" smallmouth on a panfish jig about 1/4" long. He was also using a light panfish ice rod and light line, needless to say he got quite the fight out of the LM bass.

well as I see it, any day above ground is a good day. Just have too smile and make the best of it. When the good Lord calls me home, then it's time to go.
