Well that sucks. I’ve never been up there so I don’t even know where to venture off to the private property.

Same here. I only got to run Richland rd once before it was shut down. I have a feeling it won't take much to shut HC down.

So in other words don't be a jack ass and veer off the actual road. At least she is being civil about it and warning people. I understand where she is coming from that would make me upset as well people coming onto my property and tearing it up.

Who was it that drove up there, went a little bit in and turned around and left because they were getting the stink eye from some homeowners?

I don’t see where people can really venture off the trail. All the roads I came to were gated off.

    A few bolts are different.
I’m not interested in the mud holes or going on private property. Just drive through to max patch. Probably be at the trail head at 1230.

You’ve got to get out and find it off the trail. I’ve walked up to it just to see what all the fuss was about. If you’re just on the trail driving you’d probably never see it.

Ah, gotcha. We did go explore an open area a ways in on the left and on foot, but it was grassy, almost like a field.

Same. I didn't see a mud pit either.

The stream issue she mentioned is a real problem though. Lots of trucks going through kicking up sediment messes with the natural biology of the streams more than most people ever think about.

I do recall a small rutted muddy section of trail...? With chalky colored mud.
Perhaps knuckleheads have made it more of a mess...

Maybe... My memory is a little fuzzy too!

We definitely did not venture off trail.

I hate it when folks do that. They ruin things for everyone.

    Yes

Its difficult to diagnose from the couch but I'd like to throw out some possibilities to check. Check your ground wire from the battery to the frame, see if it might be corroded or broken on both the terminal ends. The ground wire should be stiff but not brittle, if you flex it and the wire covering flakes off, you might need to replace your grounds. Sand and clean any rust that might have occurred since you've owned it where it meets the frame rails. Additionally, check the wires coming off of your Alternator. The battery isn't really meant to keep the vehicle running for extended periods, your alternator should be picking up the excess slack by keeping your battery charged. You might have loose connections on your alternator as well. Peel back the electrical tape from the terminal ends and check the conditions there where it attaches your alternator ground wire.

Here's where we get hypothetical, the MAF "should" throw codes even if its dirty/broken but your vehicle will run without if even if its put into a limp mode. The MAF just adjusts the amount of fuel to your cylinders based on the density of air through your intake. If you've ever done one of those Fuel Cleaner STP or Sea Foam, depending on what method you've used, check your fuel rails for blockages. When you turn your key to the ACC position, you should be able to hear your fuel pump click on if you're quiet enough. They do make fuel pressure gauge that you can rent to see if you are getting good fuel pressure. I'm sorry that I don't know the correct fuel pressure that you're looking for without researching it further myself. Ill include an example down below. If you have a 6-cylinder, you should have two outputs for fuel, one to each bank. Over the years this could have been gummed up. I'm grasping at straws here.

To me, it seems like its a loose ground wire. You can check the static/dynamic draw from your battery by using a multimeter by bridging the positive terminal on the battery to the main vehicle ground and reading the voltages while someone cranks your truck. Also, you can get your alternator checked for free at your local auto store of choice. Worst case scenario, it's a new issue that just happened to pop up after you had the work done on your vehicle out of coincidence.

Edit: Quick and dirty search came up with ~45 PSI for the fuel pump pressure.

    Thank you.
I will try and look thru a few of the links.
Honestly, im not to worried about it. I dont think it was a coincidence since it happened twice
directly after receiving it from toyota. (2x) They will come get it and they will fix it.

I tried again today a few times and to me it still feels like the TB doesnt know where its supposed to be on start up
because of the ecu reset. I pulled every fuse in cab and all are good.
Even if you give it gas while trying to start, it just coughs and dies.
Left the pos battery cable off for an hour, checked all wires including the Neg ground to the block. (replaced 3 yrs ago)

They were also complaining about large amounts of trash left on the trails.
There was a jeep crew that went up last weekend for the sole purpose of doing
    A trail cleanup/Maintenance.

I'm all for doing runs like that if other guys want to do some. I think I remember @ovrlndkull tossing a couple of plastic bottles in the back of my truck for extraction at Chestnut Mountain Road when we had that big run there. Anytime we can do a little something to help keep the trails open, I definitely think we should.

I threw a bunch in the back of my truck also. Every time I go somewhere I pick up some trash. Doing a little bit every time you go somewhere helps the community around realize that not all of the off-road community are jerks and just trash the place.
