Keep your stock grill, it’s always a good backup. Never know when you might hit a bird doing 70mph. Or sell to someone who wants a spare to play with. Stock grills look nice color matched.

I like the retro grill, I want one. However it is a want. I have been tempted with a knock off vs OEM. I am curious about the longevity of the knock offs. Plastic quality over time and fading, getting brittle.

umm, the factory one is plastic too. just saying.

I looked at it like this, I only keep a vehicle about 2 years max. so if it only lasts a year, I can replace it again with another $70 eBay knockoff and still won't be near the factory price.

    I also wanted to upgrade.

I’m not into spending $250-$300 OEM part that I can buy under $100.
    BBD42A05-E012-404E-8BCF-4825D02C6962.jpg
In addition to the 3M double sided tape I added a few drops of monster glue on the back as added insurance against the high pressure touch less car washes.

My truck has none of the TSS options so I didn’t get a useless garnish
    A7667F01-EEB1-4243-8A5C-B8F6BFB8A73E.jpg
I may flip this truck again in a year and get into a 2020/2021.
No one has asked is that a knockoff.
Either one “OEM or China” knockoff look great compared to the cheap ugly stock chrome ones.

I’m saving the old one for that day im driving down the road and my grill gets toasted.
No matter which you got it 100% looks awesome.
    Truck Looks great buddy!

There's nothing wrong with most things people do here but apparently TW is all about responding to peoples decisions, problems or questions with ridicule and insults .You might as well jump on board

I have seen some plastic parts die an early death with the UV pounding that cars get. My stock Sports grill feels pretty stout for a piece of plastic. Might just get a OEM black trim ring and call it good.
