Did you add the sunroof yourself to the truck?

Also, with the TC SUA, and the relocation for the 12" shocks, did you have to pull the bed to weld in the relocation mounts? and which relocation kit did you use sir?

I have his old setup before he went with DMZ. I bought new BAMF towers since rewelding the cut towers would be a pain if not cut off correctly. I also took my bed off to weld them. It's really easy to take the bed off.

Thanks for the info sir! I agree, its easy to take the bed off normally, but mine has a camper and bunch of wiring and crap running all through it.. so i've been trying to find a way to relocate for 12" shocks without having to remove the bed. May not be possible though..

Yup no problem. I see, I have a softopper and a few accessories mounted back there so I had to remove them before hand. Definitely worth it. Plus you could inspect everything while its off

Probably what im going to end up doing as well. Take everything out and clean it up and get ready to knock it all out. How do you like the TC SUA? and were you running the light or HD deaver packs?

Unfortunately @90yota didn't want to go the SUA route and is still SOA with all pro expos I believe. When I had the TC sua it was great and could cycle a full 12 inches of travel. You will only be about 2 inches of height in the rear compared to SOA where it is traditionally 2.5-3 inches. If you are ok with that, then the tc kit is worth it especially if you like going fast. I ran the HD packs since I would advised that the standard ones are made for almost no weight in the bed. The HD packs will probably give you a little bit more height too. If you never plan to run anything in your bed though, THEN I would get the standard pack.

As far as the sunroof, I had the guy who a local Toyota dealership sources out to install which since I sought him out on my own it was 1200 for the roof and install which is pretty fair to me. That said, besides bombing trails with my suspension my sunroof is probably the most sensible mod for all around use. After relocating to the toaster Im sure it will be in handy on the highway as it gets closer to the summer.

You mean ride height correct? Im gonna go with the HD springs since i have a camper and other added weight. I definitely dont mind only a couple inches of lift out back, and i do love going fast so it sounds like it might be perfect for me. Was originally considering LT, but i really want to keep the maneuverability and daily drivability of this thing, so probably gonna stick with a nice mid travel setup for the front and rear.
Oh man, i wish i had a sunroof in mine. I would use it all the time, i've always got my windows down

Don't let LT deter you from driveability as with LT you have more travel so your tires are more prone to stay planted on the road. For me personally, LT has been the best on-road driving yet for the same reasons with tires, endless travel for anything you might hit and simply being wider. If I had to do it over again, I would have never bought the TC sua and just manned up from the get go. But at the same time, a quality rear end doesn't come cheap and if you don't have the ability to fab then it can even be more expensive. That said though, I have a 3.5 front end so the tc sua was just flapping in the wind until I went DMZ.

My first ride was a 95 runner that came with a sunroof. Ever since I moved on from that ride I always longed to have a sunroof again.

I would consider new rear spring hangers as well. My mid travel rear setup will yield all 12 inches of travel with allpro expos. I have tons of flex and it maneuvers well.

The main limiting factor on LT for me is cost and i cant really decide whether i would use it enough to justify the investment. Also plan to add spindles in the future and if i went LT then things would be really wide:D My main reason for going with the TC SUA is because i dont have the ability to fab and i think it will pair pretty good with what i have planned up front.
My long term plan for the suspension is this.. let me know what you think..
    Front:
    - King 2.5 coilovers w/resis & clickers (installed)
    - Maxtrac spindles
    - TC UCAs (installed)
    - TC stock length LCAs
    - dual king 2.5 shocks
    Rear:
    - TC SUA w/ HD springs
    -BAMF 12" shock relocate
    - 12x2.5 kings w/ resis and clickers
    - TC 2.0 mounts w/ king bumps

I understand that as cost is always a factor for anyone no matter what cause you have to commit full circle due to the changed geo. That said though, if you plan to get a full MT set up...you could go +2 for pretty much the same price and with being a prerunner, you wouldn't need to worry about axle conversions either. Your rear end would work pretty well with a +2 kit although that rear will limit some of your speed potential as that TC rear is truly matched with an OEM front MT set up. As far as an MT build, I don't think you could go any more full spectrum than this list. LT is what you make of it, many of the +2 guys for instance are more all around, but with capability up front with my travel. Considering that you are a prerunner, not sure if crawling is something you might have interest, but more travel to keep tires planted can only help in sticky situations.

I think the real question is, do you want to get the lift now or simply save for all at once? With not having front axles, you don't really need limit straps since you don't have to worry about binding. Keep in mind though, just cause you arnt LT doesn't mean you shouldn't reinforce your frame with gusseting ESPECIALLY if you are doing fast driving as the frame and stock travel can really take a beating in the long run and frame warp. I got LT solely so I can pound around stuff and go faster on trail with more confidence that the truck will survive in longevity. When would you get the rear done...also some guys are already considering selling their +2 kits for a 3.5 so the market could be there for a decently used kit.

Good point on the costs being similar. I will do some comparisons and see how much more it would really be. If not too much ill probably go with a +2 kit..

Im gonna save for it and piece it all together and then have it all installed at once. Not in a rush, want to make sure i get the setup i want for the long term so i dont have to change things again in the future.

im definitely an advocate for gusseting and i will be doing that as well. Will probably do that a little at a time as well.. This is not my daily anymore, its turning into my camping/weekend rig.. Is the DMZ rear SUA considered a LT rear setup?

Not sure on this, no rush but if i found a set of used parts for a good deal i would try to pull the funds together to make it happen sooner. Did you already sell your TC SUA setup?

Will also keep this in mind. The rear is getting done before the front though.. This will likely be a slow project..
