Would be nice if Toyota would offer a limited edition Tacoma with a detuned streetable TRD V8 Race motor

Talk is cheap. By and large with few exceptions, Toyota knows what their market is or where it is going to maintain profitability and market share.

True Sport trucks are niche and most who claimer for one rarely pay up for one when offered.

There is a triple wing in the classified section as well as a wings west kit. Hey maybe some euro tail lights and neons too.

if you want to have fun driving twists and turns, get a hot hatch. they're exponentially more fun to drive on pavement than any truck will ever be.

Toyota’s market isn’t really “fast” and “sporty”. Even their sporty vehicles aren’t fast (before the new Supra). The GT86 is slow and I’d say that’s the sportiest car they sell (before the new Supra). Toyota sells trucks and suvs, mainly geared towards off-road.

I understand what the OP is getting at. I've always been a sports car guy and have had some form of sports or performance car for the last 20yrs. Having homeowner and family needs has also meant that I've needed something in addition to my sports cars for practicality. It'd be nice (and more economical) to combine the two into one "do it all" vehicle. Something like the Raptor that has the performance and the capabilities would be nice. Not sure about the handling though. Bottom line, if you want the best of both worlds you have to have 2 vehicles.

I don't drive my car a lot anymore though. I'm actually thinking of selling it. A reliable supercharger setup for the 3rd gen would be a welcome compromise.

    They don’t sell.
