I don't have the hunting issue but I definitely have the the clunk when slowing at low speeds.

I get the chunk too. Feels like a hard downshift. Mostly when cold.

After 3 years of looking at the chrome bumper caps on my SR5, decided to get them to black.. added the Ecoological Bumpershellz, and also added matte black vinyl inlays from Rich at TVDvinyl to all of my chrome badging..I've embraced some chrome, just decided I'd match the look of my Fuels with just the edge of chrome/silver.. Pics do not do them justice as they leave a nice 1mm or so edge of chrome around the letters. 1 before pic, two after..

Little bit of chrome looks good on trucks some of these guys go nuts trying to eliminate it all. I like the letters you got I wish I did that. Did you do the side badges too?

indeed.. they look nice.. the "C" in the pic has some shadowing, but is all good in person. I have an inlay for the front grille logo badge too, just didn't have time to install it..

    Nice man looks good.
I think I’ll do them this summer with the hood struts. How hard were they to do? Did you use the wet or dry way to do em

Mine was on the passenger side. I took the battery out and unscrewed a wiring harness to do the driver side which still took me several hours to complete just that one side. As for the passenger side, I used a hammer and a screwdriver to hammer out that bolt far enough before getting too close to the A/C lines. I then used some vise grips to pry that damn bolt out. The YouTube videos sure make it look like they just come right out with little sheet metal bending effort. That wasn't the case for me especially doing it all by myself. The 3"lift and the UCA's took me about 12 hrs to complete with basic tools. I don't know if saving $800 on labor to get a profession do it was worth the pain and suffering of taking on this project. Had I known the pita on this project I would have taken it in just to do the UCA's. The lift was a breeze and pretty straightforward.

These were installed dry with the transfer tape they are attached to.. a little tedious..but after a few letters it gets easier.. the front logo one is going to need the wet method. Will tackle that one later

Mine does the same thing when braking. Never experienced the hunting for gears.

A little chrome looks good. Especially on the darker colors. The overlay makes yours unique.

Wife got me GoTreads as an early valentines gift. I look forward to trying them out, hopefully on someone ELSE who gets stuck. Anyone ever tried them?
