My truck is an MGM too and I think the anthracite complements the truck nicely. I say do it and if you don’t love it, peel it off. You won’t have much time or money into it.

I see you’re from NH too. Where at? What are you going to do with your stock steelies once you swap into the sr5 rims... I may be interested in them if you’re looking to get rid of them. Just to have a spare set to run winter tires on possibly.

I’m not sure what other people are getting for them, but the set of 4 would be worth about $150 to me. I’ve had cheap steelies before for an extra set of winter tires to rotate in and just go to the junkyard to find them. It may not be worth your while but that’s what I’d pay. PM if you want to make a deal, whenever that might be.

so much this. people rag on chrome but for me plastidip is way tackier.

 

I like that look, I was thinking of either OR takeoffs or white letter out tires on mine. Thanks for posting, that gives me a good idea what this looks like.

 

I plasti dipped my stock OR rims this fall. As a student couldn't really afford new rims yet and had other mods on my list first. I actually like the stock rims, but that silver eye sore sucked. Overall I think it went well, the plasti dip went on super clean and is actually smooth! It's also held up in touch free car washes over the winter. Before dipping them I also looked at the vinyl sticker for rims but settled on just going full black.

Come spring I'd like to really paint them or get them powder coated though! As for aftermarket rims, I haven't seen a set that I really really like. The TRD pro ones are cool, but for now black works out for me!
