 If you know how to drive in sand you wouldn't have a problem especially at Nellis. You have quads? We have 3 quads and a sandrail.
We are going to Coral Pink for a week next month :woot: .

We had a 99 Z71, stock height and some all terrains, never had a problem with it. We have a 06 Chevy Duramax with 33" bfg muds that is our tow vehicle, even with the 30' toyhauler fully loaded we haven't ever gotten stuck in the sand. I haven't gotten my Taco stuck in the sand either even when it was loaded or towing. We have pulled out a number of people and see some major stucks fairly often though.

Someone is a little sensitive

I don't go to your 'meets' because first off I don't drink, so I don't care to hang out with a bunch of guys getting drunk. The Vegas meet up thread has turned into a 'lets get drunk and party thread', don't see much chat about the trail run or suggestions for trails, just let's have Timmer decide.
Second, I don't ride with people who don't practice 'Tread Lightly' and choose to go in areas that are closed to vehicles and abuse the trails that are currently open. I belong to a rather large group of people who fight to keep land open for offroading and people like you are the ones that cause land closures, there are hardly any areas left around town still open for atv use and more and more trails still opened to licensed vehicles are being closed down all the time. What are you doing to keep our land open? Have you signed any petitions, gone to any meetings, wrote letters?
Our passion is the dunes and we have a significant amount of money invested into our 'offroad hobby' and spend a lot of time participating in the sport with people who respect it and the land.
So, I don't have any need or desire to join you on your trail runs or meets and I wouldn't waste my time trying to teach someone who doesn't want to learn.

Your completely correct! All we did at our last meet was get wasted then offroad our trucks in a state park. Thank god we didnt get into an accident from trying to prerunner ours trucks.I purpose next time we bring our dirkbikes and ride up and down las vegas blvd with a bottle of jack in our hands yelling " braaappp!". Did I mention we had mounds of cocaine and the car hop at sonic was giving us swirley straws to snort through.

Dont hate if you havent been to one OR are you just trying to avoid them bc murdered_out truck might eat yours?

<-- regional thread lurk chiming in.

Not taking sides of anyone on this thread, but really, is there any actual technical aspect of 4 wheeling in sand besides airing down, engaging 4wd with fingers crossed and having a shovel handy? Maybe Im crazy

Yes! I have an 06 YFZ450 and a 95 RM250. My wife suffered a concussion last time we went to Coral. She rode staight into a bowl, never saw it. She doesn't like the dunes anymore! Lol

That high noon sun at coral sucks! Took a dive on the R out there towards the northern camps where the big drops are. Love that back trail out where the washes are though.

That is exactly what got her! Yeah we were romping back in the hills behind the main dunes. I like that kind of stuff more than just carving bowls!
