Mmm, I like my colored suspension aided by JBA.

 

Sold the Delta Joints and ordered a new set of JBA's these one's will get Ceramic Coated for Eastern Coast use.

Could if I wasn't worried about it chipping

 

Wish you could buy them unpainted

 

Or change it to a matte black. Almost like a primer coat.

 

Nah I would have kept the Delta Joints if I wanted black. These fuckers will have so much coating on them I won't have to worry for years.

I think you made the right decision, just coat/protect the heck out of them like you said and they’ll be fine. The construction and versatility these arms offer with the zerks and replaceable joints at this price point is really quite good. Doesn’t hurt that you can also get a decent alignment with them.

 

Anybody know what I would need to do to properly paint these a nice blue color? Or what it would cost to have it professionally done?

 

I would get them powder coated. Id say 30-50 a piece to have them done.

 

I would assume the red woul need to come off or be scuffed up

 

The most proper way would be to get it sand blasted and entirely redone at a PC place

 

It would need to come off, the coating is only as good as the prepped base. The joint, bushings, and all need to be removed. Then it needs to be degreased, media blasted, cleaned again with degreaser/prep cleaner then it would be coated and baked.

 

If you wanna try a cheaper method you could scuff them really good, I mean really good. Wipe all the red areas with prep solution and tape off the other non red areas and paint with a good epoxy based spray paint the color of your liking.

I wiped mine down with mineral spirits, then painted with some blue rattle can 2x paint. It sticks to the base coat fine and offers an extra layer of protection on top of the red that's already there. Included pic of the red to reference the type of paint I used, and the blue is the color I used.
