It used to be. It's setup for autocross with a fully built suspension. But the engine was tired after 25 years of use. Age catches up to these rotary engines.

The last few years he's had the FR-S for auto-x. His goal is to bring the RX-7 back to life. It's basically been sitting for 2 years

We're thinking of buying a flooded 2014 TRD Sport DCSB 4x4 on CoPart. It has a minimum of $3,000 bid with no reserve bid. We're still doing our homework on restoring a flooded car.

 

I’ve seen that lot of flood damaged cars on the way to Houston. It’s insane how many there are, and they “look” brand new. I’d imagine salt water would wreck havoc on the the electric.

 

Good thing the flooding was fresh water.

I'd be worried about the mold.

However, if you're going to strip it down and make it a crawler, ripping the carpet out and coating the interior isn't a bad a way to go. Rhino Liner can't weigh any more than the carpet, and isn't going to hold mold. I'd be subbed to that build if he's gonna do it.

 

For this specific Taco, Copart went ahead and cleaned the interior of any mold. It runs and drives, but I'm sure all the electronics are shit.
