They were waiting on the steve irwin to get there to fill them up with more gas. The crew were mainly on top of the ady gil just bopping in the water and it honestly looked like the whalers boat turned into them. just my opinion.

It does look like the whalers boat did turn into them. However the footage released by the whalers shows the Ady Gil was in forward motion.

Never noticed that before. It does look like they were in foward motion. huh... But still, you can clearly see the Whaling ship turned right into them. And then after they get hit, I love how they hit with water canon.

I'm watching this show right now and I can't believe how 'tarded some of these people are... Some of them are willing to spend 5 years in a Japanese prison for boarding a ship, because it will save a whale. Come on, that is not going to do anything than screw up the rest of your life.... F'n idiots...

i really hate this show... they are such morons...

i was reading some info on the japanese whalers. the whales they search for and "research" are the mink whales. the japanese fleet is limited to 200 whales per year. in 1990 there was a survey by the ICRW (international convention for the regulation of whaling) and they estimated 760.000 mink whales in the arctic. in 2000 they estimated over 850,000 mink whales. they then increases the whaling limit to 300 whales per year because whaling had very little impact to the whales and the whales reproduce faster than the allowed quota...

Edit: i dont see how whaling is any more a problem then deer hunting...

The bad thing about how Japan goes about whaling has been happening since the 70's.

The International whaling commission estimates numbers and then Japan ignores the numbers and makes up permits then issues them to themselves under the claim it is for research.

It really isn't anything like deer hunting
Lets say the state counts the deer and finds the numbers are really low so says not enough deer this year so No hunting season and then Billy Bob comes along says bullshit me and cuzzin wants some deer meat so scribbles out his own license and then goes hunting.
