Dang you schooled me . I did not realize Toyota made a 4.6. I’m gonna do some research on Toyota v8s today haha.

Fords 4.6l mod motor, installed in almost every crown Vic taxi, van, f150 and mustangs. (Probably missed a couple models)

Ok, no problem. The 1UR-FE makes more power and gets better fuel economy than the old 4.7

The specs on the 4.6 sound like a good match for a Tacoma. 320 lbs at 3400 rpm. More torque and horsepower than the 4.7.

again.... 1UR-FE isnt going in anything new... that motor has been around since the early 2000's (just like the 1GR 4.0Lv6).... while use the 1UR-FE / 1UR-FSE would be awesome in a tacoma / 4 runner, it aint happening, a v8 has never been optioned in a tacoma (nor will it) and the 4runner dropped any and all v8 options back in like 07?

Keep dreaming people..... 4runner is getting the same 3.5L v6 that the tacoma has.

Yepper, I think we all realize that. Isn’t part of been an automotive enthusiast the talk of “bench racing”. :boink: If we all had to be realistic 24/7 life would be pretty bland.
