This is a great post....I know this may be pushing it but since budget is front of mind for most guys can you list out of pocket costs for each project: exhaust, tire upgrade, and suspension? Thanks

    Too much.
Wish I had known about the GTS suspension before I bought the 5100s. Looks like I'm switching out after the summer....

They come with coils specific to the set.

On their site each set has a specific lift height based on load. I am curious since he looks like he is stock up front what size coil he went with.
C59-314 says 2” med load put to 100 lbs. 3” lift stock.

    C59-302 says 1.6” light load.

I am thinking 314 as I have sliders but that’s all. I would like at least 2” but def. don’t want 3”.

Ok. I see that if you order the kit, as you said, whatever coil they include should give the 2”’s. I was just curious what that coil was. Thanks.

I went with stock weight (as I have no plans right off to adding anything for weight in the front) if that helps.

Thanks. Just trying to figure it all out. It says on the dobinson sight that stock weight springs only give 1.6”. Moving up to next coil to medium it says 2” with 50-100lbs. I do have sliders and wonder how much weight that ends up being up frontsince the sliders are not all in the front.

How are the blocks in the rear? Any issues? Ride quality?

    Thanks for the feedback.

I don't believe these are straight from Dobinsons Site, as far as the coils. They're from Mainline Overland. I did get a 2" lift in the front w/whatever the springs are they sent me (part of their Kit) @eevaldes might have a better answer as far as that goes. I wouldn't worry about the sliders, as it's even weight, and doubt it'd effect much. I'm thinking more of Bumper, Winch, etc on the nose of the truck being the bigger culprit here.

Blocks are tapered so it tips the rear end up a few degrees to take the harsh angle off the drive shaft. 0 issues so far. No vibrations anywhere, smooth as all can be driving. Ride quality is a mix of Sport and Offroad IMO. It definitely soaks up the bumps much more than the sport does, but has the nice stiffness the sport has in corners vs sport/pro (my 4 Runner Pro leans in corners, vs my Tacoma not so much) I took a 58 mile trip the other day, all Back Logging Road here in Maine, ice/snow covered dirt roads. I enjoyed every bit of it (remember, I'm on 10ply tires also, so they're less forgiving than 4/6ply tires, and heavier too).

Great! Thanks for the info. I used to have 265/75/16 ko2 10 ply but switched to falkens in the same size but p rated. Thanks for the input!

No problem. You shouldn't have any issues then at all. my 265/70R17's are slightly bigger than what you're running and I only get rubbing if the wheel is turned about 3/4 of the way, and I slam into a bump. I've only had it happen once since the suspension lift, and it was a hard hit. The P-Rated tires are slightly smaller (13/32 vs 18/32 Tread Depth) So just over a 1/4" smaller than mine.

    Hey,

The 314 coils on the Tacomas give about a 2.5” of lift. The 302 coils provide a true 2” of lift which also looks great. Just depends on how you want it to look.

    Hope this helps!

Dobinsons offers the C59-300 coil which offers 1.25' of lift. That would be the only other option.

So does the GTS kit use all Dobinson’s components? I’m not sure I understand the difference from the Dobinson’s kit other than the color.

    Hey!

We partnered with Dobinsons when we were looking to develop our GTS kit and it turned out great. The kit includes black Dobinson twin tube shocks and struts and MLO red coils also manufactured by Dobinsons in Australia. We’re also using their leaf springs, bushings, and Ubolts as well. Our coil springs were chosen based off the spring rates and lift we wanted for our customers.

We love the color combination and how much the kit improves the on and off road performance of the Tacoma.

Price is the same. It really just depends on which colors you prefer.

I hope this answers your questions!

Purchased a set of coils, struts and shocks this past Friday. Super stoked to finally make the decision. Thanks to @eevaldes for the excellent customer service. Will post up when installed. Won’t be for another few weeks. Thanks to @Mack7n for your review. Definitely helped in my endless search for what I was looking for.
