Not a 48 fan and hate to see him get that one but the 21 should have held his line.

Jimmy was racing for the win. Aggressive side draft yes, but all Jimmy’s fault no.

If it were Kyle, Kevin, or Denny I'd suspect it was intentional. JJ doesn't race like that, but dang that sucked and I was ticked. The Super Bowl was more exciting than today's Cl(r)ash. I was really pulling for that #21. Not a Menard fan, but a long time Wood Bros. Fan. I saw Mr. Leonard last week and he was in good spirits.

Anyone else want to start a petition for DW to retire? I can't stand to hear him call races! He is so far removed from being a driver yet thinks he knows how these cars handle. Today when he said the crew chiefs were probably telling the drivers about the side draft because they showed it on tv. I felt like they should have just fired him right there on the air.

i was waiting for Clint B to say "well, no shit DW".

The 17 will be in at least one of those so I am sure one will be exciting anyway!

Why didn't Stenhouse compete in the clash?

He was not eligible this year.
"Drivers who competed full-time in the Cup Series in 2018 are eligible for the 2019 Clash if they won a pole for a points-paying race last season, have a Daytona 500 pole to their credit, were among the 16 playoff drivers in 2018, or are previous winners of the Daytona 500 or the Clash."

He doesn't qualify for any of those. I'm really hoping his new Mustang will help some. I don't think he has much in the skill department. :anonymous:

But he couldn't keep her. And skill in the bedroom doesn't translate well into keeping the car in a controlled oval. He's all the time talking up his crew, but he hated the handling on that Fusion. Maybe, just maybe, they can set it up to work with how he drives. :fingerscrossed:

Not sure the Mustang has a reinforced right front fender!

Suarez said in race "This Mustang is actually making me look pretty good!" I think the #41 is definitely a step up in quality from the #19, even if both cars are 4th string among teammates.

So, reflecting on the CLash, it's place and purpose on the schedule, I think I've decided it is the most pointless race on the schedule. It's nothing they can't fold into the All-Star race in some form or fashion. And on the All-Star race, that's something nearly equally pointless. Charlotte is a world-class facility, but they need to move the event from location to location each year. Ideally, I'd like to see it run at tracks not on the usual track schedule. Run them at Hickory, Nashville, Road Atlanta, Iowa, Milwaukee, IRP, Rockingham, shoot, Greenville Pickens!

I think they should use that 1 mile dirt track in New York, that Arca races on, or they used to anyways.
