Wow. Didn't know so many people had the downshift clunk like me. Hate that this happen's but make me feel a little better I'm not the only one. Still gonna have them check it out at next service not that they can or will do anything about it.

Got both of my leaf packs from All Dog Off-road. If you have never checked those dudes out I highly recommend it. They are a small co-op and have some of the best customer service I have experienced in the industry. They also gave me a killer deal on the Icon RXT leaf pack.

Today, I broke them down to swap out leaf for option 2 and decided to repaint to help mitigate/delay rusting.

Replaced the map and dome lights with LEDs. Really easy and affordable. Didn't realize how dim the stock bulbs were until I put seat covers and floor liners in.

Tip: If you want to replace your map lights, it's easier to remove the whole top console. A how-to video said to take the lens covers off, and pull the bulbs out with your fingers. Was not happening for me.

If you get your fingers between the headliner and the console, it pops right out. Do the front, repeat for the back, and it'll come off. An electrical connector will keep it from falling, so it'll hang when you remove it. Then just unscrew each bulb holder, pull out, replace the bulbs, screw back in, and pop the console back in place.

I'd also recommend disconnecting the negative terminal on your battery before doing this, to be safe.

How to video I referenced (includes how to replace dome light): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOy5LlwEPd0

Map Light LEDs: https://www.diodedynamics.com/map-light-leds-for-2005-2019-toyota-tacoma-pair.html (I got cool white, HP3)

Dome Light LED: https://www.diodedynamics.com/dome-light-led-for-2016-2017-toyota-tacoma.html (I got cool white, HP6)

There are probably cheaper options. I saw other TW members bought these and wanted to be safe.

Same company I used and I also popped the top console to install the map lights. So much easier to do it this way. I have been very happy with mine.

:playball: While waiting on the FedEx Truck that’s delivering my Tonneau Cover I pulled out the rubber end caps out of the Bulkhead spacer Up against the bed rail cap, then removed the spacer bar and ran a bead of Silicone on all four sides of the end caps. Saved me from buying the OEM plugs and having to cut the bed rails. Not the neatest caulk job but it’ll be functional
Also added the rear Tack rail from my ‘14 Taco and two extra tie down cleats.
Hopefully my cover arrives alive and so I can install it this afternoon :bikewheelie:

I would like the signal mirrors since I don't have them (SR5).
Other than Ebay, what's a good source for mirrors?

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
The RAV4 mirror mod replaces just the mirror glass (easy swap). Pretty sure I got mine from a dealer off evilBay. If you want to replace the entire mirror assembly to get the signals... I have no idea. I'm not even sure the wiring is there for that in an SR5.

The tonneau cover you bought should come with 2 square foam pads that stick on the end of those caps and fill the gap. What you did will work also.
