How do you not have Hella E-code headlights at least? I thought that was the first upgrade everyone with 7x6 headlights did.

Best H4 options for no harness on stock wiring:
-Osram All Season Super, these are 75/68w bulbs listed as 60/55w. They are more yellow in color for better poor weather visibility. See a comparison to the high wattage versions in post #1520 here.
-GE +130 Megalight, very good low beam but reduced high beam due to blue coating over the high beam filament. Slightly whiter in color than stock (3500k vs 3200k).
-GE +120 Megalight. Better high beam than +130 due to no coating, slightly lower low beam performance than +130. More difficult to find after the release of the +130. Stock color.

Best headlight assembly will be OEM if using a composite reflector. If using a pre-98 truck with sealed beam 200mm light, then best is to switch to a Hella 200mm E-code H4 conversion and use one of the above bulbs.

Are these the ones that you run?
    How yellow are they?
    Will they fit an 01?

I run the 85/80w version on a stand-alone harness. But the 75/68w version is a good pump in output over stock 60/55w bulbs. You can see a side-by-side comparison for color in post #1520 here. These are not truely 'yellow' they are a legal headlight color of 'warm white'. But being warmer in color they appear slightly yellower than stock which is better for poor weather visibility.

Yes they will fit an 01 and all H4/9003s.

You can see a couple output pics below to give you an idea of color output. These pictures were taken years apart on different cameras so it is not a controlled experiment, but a representative illustration of the color difference.
