Nah, I like it, and will continue to build it. It's going to be a while before I get a toy.

Hm. If anyone is going to bend a spindle it will be you. But I still don't know if you would.

Like Wes said though, cheap insurance. Doesn't hurt to have.

That is definitely one of the arguments to not gusseting the spindle. Something will give.

I read where a lot are saying that if they can't flex a little, they end up cracking. Maybe it was not welding them with the right temperature/process/cool down, but a lot of concern on that.

Got me thinking about that as well. All the failures I saw on the thread you're probably referring to occurred with the TC non-sway bar version. With the added gusset running from the vertical length of the spindle to the steering knuckle, the flex that cause the failure at the bottom of the non-sway bar version is eliminated. But really, that flex is just transmitted elsewhere. So I guess it depends on what I want to act as a fuse in my suspension system.

Today was a good day! Came home to Sams cash back and miller rebate check. Now I just need Costco to send out their checks.

So after much legwork and back and forth, I got $260 reimbursement from Toyota for replacing a carrier bearing and u joint and they recently replaced all u joints for free- on a ten year old truck...

Even though the dealership forgot to torque my carrier bearing back so it fell off going down the road...that's mainly why I got all new ujoints, not just the "problem" ones habaIMG_4101.HEIC.jpg
