Spoke with LCE this morning and they are working on a s/c kit for the 2TR-FE utilizing the Eaton M62. They said they hope to have it released by summer of 2019.

Figured i would put this out there for others considering going turbo or URD s/c. This is the first Roots/Positive Displacement blower i've heard of for the 2TR. I will probably get one of these whenever they come out with the kit. I want some more low-end grunt out of my 4 banger and dont really want to go centrifugal s/c or turbo for this reason alone.

agreed, the motor is dying for a roots blower.. would make it so much more drivable

There is already a way to do this.
@05Taco4x4 sells a plenum spacer that lets you bolt in the 3RZ supercharger which is a M62 design IIRC.

Curious about LCE's solution for the snout and PS plumbing though.

Oh and of course their dyno sheets and price point

Ha well hell.. that doesnt sound too promising then..
I have stumbled across his spacer that allows you to bolt it in. I guess im just lazy and dont want to plumb everything and figure out a solution for the drive belt..

I'm curious why they are using the M62 with much better options available

My guess is that it probably required the least amount of R&D since they've already got it set up for the 2rz/3rz

Didnt know that.. interesting.. Not sure why they are using it then. Seems like there has to be a more efficient blower out there they could've used, or at least one with an intercooler..

No thanks from me. I got the 2TR for reliability not acceleration and increasing stresses on literally every drivetrain component from the piston to the rear wheel isn't my idea of maximizing reliability.
