Exactly. They cap the max you can put into it at $3k. So the CU is trying to buy customers at $112 per customer hoping a few of the rate shoppers stick as long term customers.

If you can navigate on the web I'd highly recommend Vanguard funds over any fidelity offerings. Much lower cost which over the long term will really save you a lot of money. I'm a huge believer of low cost index funds as is Warren Buffett. He knows a thing or two about investing.

You have to have at least 1 transaction per month, and live in San Diego or Riverside county, and the other stuff. If it wasn’t capped I’d sell all my stocks, put my money in there, then take it out and buy my stocks back as soon as I could.

They require a checking account to be opened also. That's where they can get your money without having to pay you anything. Still its worth it if you play it right to get the interest

Actually, fidelity came out with zero cost (zero expense ratio) mutual funds last year beating vanguard to the punch.

Ah but there is fine print, you have to be a brokerage client. They are killing you with the brokerage fees.

Anyone invest in the Business Development Company MAIN, or know anything about it? It has had good long term growth and pays high dividends. I am thinking of starting a position, I like the idea and it seems to be the BDC to get your toes wet.

I hope those government workers had enough time to save up an emergency fund this time :anonymous:

The liberals will find a few to interview next week, who by that time will be homeless and almost starved to death.

Robinhood is better. Acorns sucks with the fees every month and have underperformed the SP500 even on an "aggressive" portfolio during the boom times

With Acorns, do you have the option of where the money is invested? I wondered about that.
