The dealer said no lift because of TSS but had my buddy do it at his shop and no issues. I see they have a lifted one on the lot now.
If you have major warranty issue / failure but it back to stock is what my buddy told me.
No issues yet and on my 5k check the service people were all checking it out.

by the way....so when they lifted mine i signed a waiver and they "disabled" the toyota sense or whatever it is.......anyways i have finally played around with the menu options and turned it back on through the menu screen and also the radar cruise control works flawlessly.....sounds like a way to cover their ass....which i understand but keep in mind you can re enable or disable yourself!

Please, let me repeat myself for the 9,873,426.4795th time regarding TSS.

TSS radar is a basic radar system and does not require recalibration after a lift install. That is a money making tactic by dealers. Radar does not project on a flat plane, it projects outward in a cone shape. Because the TSS forward sensor is a fixed sensor and cannot pan up or down or left or right the cone will simply be projected further out after a lift is installed sensing further in front of the vehicle which in theory should cause the auto braking to react earlier, etc.

How do I know this, you ask? I work with airborne and ground based radar daily. They all work the same and I can absolutely guarantee that Toyota does not have anything more advanced that the current radar systems on the market, if they did, your truck would cost MUCH more.

A local dealer in my area has 4 lifted 2019s for sale. They send them to the local 4 Wheel Parts and get 3/2 spacer lifts on them along w/ bigger wheels/tires. You shouldn’t have any issue.

They can't do lift kits cause a person crashed into a car with a lift kit and the sensor did not see the car in front of it. The guy sued the dealership cause of it so they can't do them anymore.

I can guarantee you'll hate the auto high beam pretty fast. Cool idea, but it really doesn't work out as well as it should. In my experience, by the time it activates, you're already blinding oncoming drivers. I disabled mine pretty fast after a few bouts of it not being very responsive.

Was chatting with my stealership service guy, and he was saying that a local boy put a 6 inch lift on a 2018 Tacoma, and has nothing but problems with this "internal sensor" I forget what he called it. When the guy drives around a corner the truck's computer thinks its tipping over and throws errors and freaks out. They tried leveling the sensor, messing with it but no dice. I think the guy got fed up and said "just pull it out."

Next time I go in I think i'm going to ask about it again.

I know that this is an old post now but I'm leasing a Tacoma at Bigtwo Toyota in Chandler and they sell Tacomas with 3inch lifts - the whole package costs $3.5 inc wheels, lift and fitting etc. They get a company called Rim1 to do it in Phoenix, they have great reviews and it appears Tacoma owners use them all the time. The dealer warranties the work as it's the only company they use/approve to do it. I'm deciding whether to get mine done at the same time I lease it or go to Rim and save the dealer mark up ($200).
