Hahaha, that's awesome! My older brother was a Paramedic for the City of St. Pete for 36yrs and a Trauma Nurse on Bayflite since 1986ish. He's retired but still helps out on Bayflite w/ they need him. Lotsa respect for people that do that.

That whole Pelfreybilt deal is kind of depressing. It's got to be shitty to have your hobby turn into your livelihood, then have it all come crashing down around you.

 

The Pelfrey’s knew what they were doing. It’s not the first time they’ve done this.

 

It’s a shame they turned out to be turds. They had great products.

 

Its thought to be a master scam from the begining create a demand than recieve funds but never supply the demand you created. There is a special place in hell fof people like that

 

Oddly enough, after I spent all day cleaning Natty, she repaid me by dropping two cylinders on the way to the pharmacy today. I knew it was at least one or more but when I put the code reader on it when I got home, she dropped #2 and #4 cylinders, which is weird because you would think if it dropped 2 cylinders at the same time it'd be a coil pack on a 5VZ. Anyway I pulled the plugs and I could have slipped a penny between the electrodes. I adjusted then by eye to be more in line with what the gap should be and she ran on all six afterward. Guess I'll be getting a set of NGK plugs and wires for Natty now. I'm not looking forward to changing #6. It looks like I may have to take half the engine apart to get to it.

 

Well, I went a little nuts. I ordered my new plugs and wires for the OG4 (Natty, now that she's earned her trail stripes...literally) and started thinking about how when I was under there installing the lift the muffler was really rusty. I'm talking I was picking at it a little bit and I'm pretty sure I could put my finger through the side of it, so I was looking at mufflers. Ended up getting a Flowmaster Super 50 for it, which should sound almost stock quiet and I figured while I was doing that, I might as well buy the one for the OGT as well. I got her the 50 series Delta Flow which is a little bit more aggressive sounding than the super 50.

So... @allenfab when can you weld them in? Just kidding I know that's about as likely to happen as an SAS on my truck. Guess I'll be making a trip to Clearwater to visit Rainbow Muffler. They got their work cut out for them though because the whole system is nasty rusty and that tail pipe has a lot of bends to make it around shit. Fortunately I just want it dumped behind the axle, maybe pointed off to the side a bit.

 

I'm about to do exhaust too. Full 3 in after the downpipe.

 

I was thinking about going to 3" after the aft O2 sensor for a long time on the OGT so at least I could get a really low tone out of it, but then I figured it'd just be overkill and make the truck louder than I wanted.

 

I'm not really an exhaust person but I know the current one is restricting the flow for the turbo

 

Yeah, you need to at least put a turbo muffler and a high flow cat on it, but going bigger won't hurt either. The less back pressure you have the more efficient the turbo is and the more power you can get out of it.

 

I plan to do a big old resonator and a muffler.

 

Anyone have know of any decent beach camping in Florida? I’m in Jacksonville, but willing to travel about 2-3 hours east or west.

 

All of the decent spots are actually up near you.
