Tied several boat anchors to my truck to destroy MPG.
Of course its a Sport...an OR would never be involved in something like this.

The truck didn't cause the problem; agree.Who is making the argument that the truck is responsible? Point being that properly implemented technology could reduce these incidents.

Nobody is proposing raising the age of purchasing a truck to 21, background checks or otherwise regulating the purchase, manufacturing or modding of a truck. I'm not quite sure how you equate efforts to trample the 2a to a vehicle that can assist in mitigating the damage done in a collision.

Your right, the off road wouldn’t have been able to get enough speed to jump the curb, especially if it was an automatic

What liberty are you giving up exactly with a truck that could stop or slow when it detects an imminent collision?

You could draw the conclusion that autonomous vehicles would limit personal freedom.

You don't tho. Every state has extensive laws regulating exactly how you can and cannot drive. So again, how does collision mitigation technology impose your liberty in a manner consistent with what Benjamin Franklin had to say.

But I am not forced to follow those laws. I should and may have to pay fines if caught.

We're not even talking autonomous vehicles tho. Also, driving is a highly regulatedregulated and not a right to begin with. The argument doesn't hold water.
