I just got an update that I have 'unread posts' in this thread....

I recently cut up my harnesses and shortened/lengthened where necessary to wire these to my aux fuse panel and get rid of the inline fuses.

 

Does installing the xd h11 xtreme kit require to also add the pwn module to be used with it??

 

I saw its been talked about here and i posted on another thread, but, here you in case you want to try it out. Worked for me.
I swapped the red rubber seal on the OEM light bulb to the Morimoto Bulb. I notice the bounce is 95-99% gone. It was very noticeable with the red rubber seal the Morimotos came with. Now I cant tell unless I really pay attention and it happens VERY little. Before it was there and VERY noticeable and annoying.

Careful if you have to return them!

 

Yes, Please read the terms and conditions for returns on their web site, because unless they have now changed by the new owners once you take them out of the box and plug them in you own them.

 

My problem is that they were ordered from the old and then I spoke to them after the transition. I had no idea , nor was I given any warning as to the status of my order. NOW they have the lights and the DRL kit back in their hands and they owe me 145.00. They are dragging their feet with paying me back. I will continue to ask them for my refund, through various sources where they sell their products.

 

You would think that when The Retrofit Source purchased the company which still operate under the same name of Xenon Depot
they would have assumed all pending orders and returns, along with any remaining warranties. To not stand behind anything pending at the time of purchase of the company would be a mistake on their part in my Opinion. When you purchase a company you assume all assets and outstanding liability. Good Luck !

 

I just had to replace one of the ballast on my wifes 4runner HID Phillip 4300k kit 3 months since purchase. The bulb went out then came back on a day later then flickered then finally went out when I started testing it. Contacted XenonDepot and asked for my options and they told me to switch the ballast to verify bulb or ballast went bad. True enough the bulb was good and ballast was bad. Emailed them back that night had a new ballast shipped the very next morning with no questions and had it installed in 2 days. Didn't know the the company was bought out but will go ahead and order an HID 4300K phillip with the 25% discount now for my tacoma because they have done right so far.

 

And they updated their pictures for the kit. No longer misleading with the Phillips bulb photos. Might just order a set of bulbs now. Especially with the discount.

 

I was in same situation. I had emailed them to cancel order. Which ended up, them having my money for 3 weeks. I just got my refund when woke up this morning finally

 

I have been waiting for more than a month for any notification of a REFUND.I understand the 30 day billing cycles of credit card companies -- but the least they could do is drop me a note saying it is being refunded. They have the lights returned to them -- I did my part! -- I will watch the next billing cycle of the credit card statement. My taste for this company is getting more bitter by the day

 

I just installed these and didn’t see anything about the orientation.

Does it matter which way the external rod is? (Like how LEDs should be oriented side to side instead of up and down for optimal light output)

I’m not 100% sure if the XD HID bulb can even be rotated. My headlight revolution LEDs can be rotated.
