New truck 1500 miles. Noticed a big difference between the left and right bumper cover spacing. Any thoughts? Fixes?

Did you just notice? Maybe someone bumped you? Seems a little large to get thru factory QC.... although it’s not Japan...

I took mine to the dealer for that very issue and the service manger and I looked at more than a dozen new Tacoma’s and about 80% of them were also misaligned like that. They claimed there is no adjustment that can be made.

At some point I will fix it myself, elongate the holes so that I can adjust it and even it out.

Anything within a 1/4 inch is considered a tight tolerance in Mexico. They beat my new radiator in with a sledge hammer to make it fit. Had to replace it when I got back stateside.

I'd take it back to the dealer and show them the finger....well, you know what I mean....A good dealer will take care of that.

Mine is the same way. Front bumper started popping out too right where it meets the quarter panel. Push the clip back in and it pops out shortly after. Dealer fixed it.

If you really want to go crazy, start checking all the gaps on your truck, I bet you will find more issues. Hood and tailgates are far from perfect, taillight gaps are also off on my truck.

I had the dealer fix a taillight that was digging into my paint (they tried to tell me there was nothing unusual) and then said F-it.

Its a mass produced truck not much you can do about it. 90% of people buying cars don't notice or don't even think to look.
