Just get the CMC with anticipation for 35’s. I just did that just in case I ever froggy I don’t want to cut twice. I’m running 33’s now and just wanted the extra assurance I wouldn’t rub and dig into my tires. Also if you have mudflaps and off road with 285s on your stock pro suspension if you get stuck and reverse they will get ripped off. I have seen it on here more then once. The biggest that can fit may not be the right tire.

285s do rob power. Makes it shift a butt load on the istate and usually stays in 4th. I live in the mtns tho so that could be a big problem

Was there last year. Huge fun, but. I was on dirt bikes mostly watching the jeeps. Would love to take the Tacoma back but that’s some gnarly crap. I’m not ready to beat my truck up like that yet

I have no doubt there is absolutely no rubbing... As long as the truck is sitting still... Or if you are rolling perfectly straight on perfectly level and smooth concrete...and if you don't turn the wheel, go in reverse or run over anything bigger than a toothpick....,

OP check out the wheel and tire forum. There is a ton of great info there... There is some good info in this thread but none of it was posted by this dude...

Wow so many haters. So of all you saying it’s Not possible. How many of you actually own a pro with 285 to confirm they do rub? That’s what I thought.

I have not. It will be my first time with the Tacoma. It was closed down last year due to a roll over and death

OP asked what will fit his stock Pro wheels so whoever is mentioning offset, size, width etc is going in too deep. @cemented is running 285/75/16 on his Pro with stock lift/wheels and takes it out wheeling with no issues.

Yes remember hearing about that. Might be a great test to see if they rub
