I have a CRKT. It is nice for a very good price.
Also have a Leek that I just got about a month ago. Very nice EDC for the price. Have to work on the lock a bit.

Thanks, I went to Mnt Washington as a kid and my brother was mentioning the other day I should go back as an adult. I would want to stay away form the touristy areas, that K highway sounds the right direction! Just park and hike, or drive and drive.

I have a ranger, and have been thinking about those trails, I've heard lots of good things. Might be fun to just park at the start and be in the ranger for a few days!
Rain, snow, 2 feet or 6 inches...doesn't seem like anyone knows. What are you thinking?

I've had the cheap Gerber for quite a while. It went dull long, long ago so I just beat the hell out of it. It's loose and sloppy and now, finally retired. I do have a Kershaw that I was using and I really like it, but it's a little too big to fit in my vest and I usually get looks when I pull it out (it's a big scary black 'tactical' knife apparently). Not the intent when I bought it, but whatever. I keep it in my truck and it gets used, just needed something that tucks into my vest a little easier. I bought a Benchmade proper folder. Should be a nice little knife.

I have always enjoyed driving up through the whites, and then come back down through the greens.

Down low....we'll be lucky if we see 5" before the ice/sleet.
Hope there is no change over to ice/sleet in the higher elevation (you).
The warm air pushing up seems to be making for a tricky forecast. I love weather.

If we don't get it too bad with the rain/sleet, our trails are back in action. The field has mostly all melted, but my woods trails are still 3-6 inches thick and basically ice at this point. Put 6-10 inches of nice snow on top and you got some good trails. Oh well, we can only hope for the best!

    Morning all!
Yeah, between the manual steering, manual brakes, and manual transmission driving the '69 holds your attention. The rumbly, hoover-y noises it makes helps too, though :D

What is with people and submitting cover letters with the wrong company name or position name on them? It's been the case with half of the applications I've gotten. One person was applying to Orvis AND a different school district according to their cover letter (yup, two different names on one letter), another was applying for a position that didn't resemble the name of the one in the posting, another two literally left lines or dashes anywhere the company name should have gone.

If you don't want a call for an interview, do that. I throw those out immediately because it tells me all I need to know about their attention to detail.

I would bet that half those people or maybe even more are just pushing paperwork to keep the unemployment office happy and those entitlement checks keep coming. They are just pumping out applications left and right and probably don't even want the job.

A lot of people "looking" are only looking to get someone off their ass, be it the government or their moms.

Nice. I carry my ZT on my waist and have a cheap small blade in my pocket that sees most of the abuse since it is a lot easier to sharpen on the hand sharpener

I have a Schrade Old Timer fold out knife that I really like/liked as it appears to look like the tip was used to play rock ball with. Broken tip.
I found a nice little Kershaw pocket knife that holds a good edge for awhile. I keep that one in my fishing vest.
