What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Custom 2.5” Radflo coilovers arrived today. Was a hard choice between these and King. Ultimately I got a deal (and a T-shirt) I couldn’t refuse from @state48overland.

 

Installed my JBA UCAs today. Pretty straight forward. Hardest part was getting the main bolt out on the passenger side. Other than that no problem.

 

If you look in the black trim thread all the parts work the same, minus the steering wheel unless you have already done that. The only difference is in the center vent full surround the 4wd switch is different, but can also be ordered and plugs in the same as the 05-11 switch. Also the stereo surround is shaped differently so you will need either a newer factory stereo or a newer radio surround for aftermarket stereos.

Today I installed a Beer Tap Handle as my shifter on my 08 Manual Double Cab. Turned out pretty sick!



Had to use a tap and dye in order to get it to fit onto the shifter, wasn't too hard though since the brass was nice and soft.

My seat spacers made a huge difference. My back finally doesn't hurt after long drives

 

Cool idea, pretty original. The only thing is now you have to get a short throw shifter to have a normal throw again, or you know, just... choke up on the stick if you know what I mean. Okay, okay, bad joke I know. Welcome to TW by the way!

Were you able to get the trim rings off without removing the gauge cluster?

It’s a noticeable different in height for sure. Definitely sit flatter on the seat now.
