I desire a system of motion-activated LED lights mounted on the four sides of a cargo rack such that anyone or anything approaching my Taco and boat trailer attached to it during the night is instantly illuminated and warded off from any act of theft they planned from my boat or truck. Further, would like the light activation to activate 360-degree cameras to record what is going down.

Crack-head opportunists frequent the places I will be sleeping in my truck overnight on fishing trips. Boat ramps are rife with fencible boating and fishing equipment to steal, and I'd like to have the perps illuminated and have situational awareness to prepare my response BEFORE they know I am inside the truck, rather than when I am woke up, too late, by the motion of them hopping up on the side of the boat trailer. Once on the trailer they will feel it move under their feet as I move inside the truck, thus giving THEM tactical advantage over me. Too close at that point, and probably too late. Lights would give me early notification with some separation and time to gear-up and assess the situation to gain tactical advantage. Tactical FLASHING light mode would just be icing on the cake! And a low beep or vibration inside the truck to wake me would be the cherry on top of the icing.

Anybody know where I could piece together this capability?

Everything you are asking for is completely buildable. But unless you have electronics background or are willing to learn you are asking a lot.

For simplicity I would simply get one or more dash cameras or trail cameras. Get motion sensor triggered lighting.

If you want to make a nice integrated setup then build an Arduino based setup with either motion sensors or ultrasonic sensors. Your lights can be controlled via relays off of the arduino microprocessor and record the action. All sounds easy until you have to learn the code and the electronics end of things. This will not be a plug and play unit. You will be literally buying each part individually and then coding the MPU to interact with the sensors and the outputs.

Sounds like an opportunity for profit to the person who possesses this knowledge and skill.

Motion activated lights and camera are common now for houses. And we now have an ac plug in the bed, so you could just buy the household version of those things and adapt to your needs.

Once you do settle on the system, post it up as I'm sure some would like to see what you came up with.

Oh yeah! No need to add it to the list. It's already on there.

Actually, I want to see one of you guys on Shark Tank next year hawking a set-up like this. I'll buy it. Have no time or interest in developing it, just buying. I'll stick with my perimeter of pungee sticks and Claymore mines until somebody builds this.

Go on Amazon. A set of motion activated solar powered lights are cheap. Cameras, not so much, but can get a dash cam with extra cameras that are motion (physical not optical) activated.
