Thanks for the insight ovrlndkull! I haven't ruled out the Billies with OME springs. I'm just kind putting my feelers out there. I've read a lot here and to be honest, it's an information overload! lol I'll just keep reading and I'll have my mind made up by the end of the year!

Yeah it is a lot of info especially if you start comparing the shock valving systems and what not and really get into the nitty gritty. Biggest thing you have to be happy with it and enjoy it. Also if you think you'll want to get crazy later like a SAS or LT or Chevy 63s in the back it may be better to go cheaper at first to just get you out on the trails and playing then go big later.

What springs you gonna go with?

You're right. This is my daily driver, so whatever I pick, it will have to have good or better road manners, with a slight advantage over stock when offroad!

This is kit I was referencing, easy to upgrade to extended travel coilovers down the road.

There are always trade offs just remember that when you go and purchase. It's also about what you can deal with as far as the trade offs. Some of us are a little crazy and are willing to make some pretty big trade offs for our daily.

It's one of Eddy's deals again you know he slyly posts the information. Morris Mtn was a great trip too bad you missed it. River Rock is in Ga it's a lot closer to us this time :D. I'll double check and see if it's still going down.

A little rake isn't a bad thing. The biggest question is what do you for see you adding to the truck as far as weight goes.

I would go with the 888. I had those on OME shocks for my first set up on my truck. I still had probably a good 1/2" rake.

I don't plan on adding anything to the truck. Maybe some upgraded skid plates for extra protection? I'll ditch these predator bars when the time comes and get some true sliders too. No bumpers, winch or anything like that.

    This^

If you are planning on adding as little as skids, and sliders I would go with the 886.

I took my CBI sliders off to build my own and my truck rides funny now. You wouldn't think it affects it much even with 700 lb coils but it makes a difference.

I read somewhere that they don't recomment 886 with the 5100s either. I wonder why, as the 885 ad 887 are fine with the 5100s.

For sure! I lost a ton of lift with just the skids and sliders on the 888 coils.
