Wow! I'd say "Nice Truck", but that would take away from the overall scene! Dammit man! That's beautiful!

Only have had it for about 3 weeks....2017 DCSB OR. Bought it CPO with 6500 on the clock. Was looking to get back in a pickup as my last truck was a 1998 Dodge Ram which I dropped a Kenne Bell S.C. on it and had a blast for 8 years. Owned an ‘88 Toyota PU that I could not destroy in college though I tried my best. Haven’t done anything to the ‘17 yet but plans are in the making. Great forum...big fan of GOOD forums, lots of good info that takes the guess work and risk out of mods.

Hello, I'm considering a used white 2016 TRD Off Road and noticed the gravel guard or "orange peel" paint along the bottom of the doors on both sides is yellowing.

Just wondering if this is normal or can be cleaned? I read some threads on the topic here but was curious what the white Tacoma owners have experienced.

You can sort of see it in the attached photo. Not trying to nitpick, I realize it's a truck, but wanted to ask before I drop the coin.

    Thanks all
    Seth

claybar isn't going to remove the textured surface, but you can clay that area if you're just trying to decontaminate it.

i just clayed my car before putting on a ceramic coating. I used the optimum brand clay with ONR as a lubricant. Worked great.

i was referring to the yellowing, not the orange peel texture.

@sethwerks If I may, If you look close again at the yellowing along the bottom of the doors ( rocker panel ) there may be a thin plastic strip covering that area. If so that’s what may be yellowing. Should find the same on the bed behind the wheel. Hope this helps
