I want to be sure I am getting everything I need and the right things I need before I pull the trigger. I have a 2018 OR 4x4 that is my daily driver and so far the truck has on it RCI sliders, CBI front aluminum skid so not heavy at all, prinsu cabrac, SCS ray 10 16" with 265/75/16 falken at3's. I am planning on keeping that size tire and only looking to lift the front at 2". I have my snugtop rebel coming in this week and will have the prinsu rack on that as well. I am not a hard core off road guy, i am a weekend warriar at best on intermediate trails and camping/fishing. The truck is my daily driver so ride quality is major. I am planning to order the front and rear kings EXT with adjusters on both and total chaos UCA's. I have the RXT leaf for rear and setting on option #2. My question is will the 600lb springs be right for me with that weight (not adding bumper/winch) and only a 2" max lift in the front? And will I need anything else? Bump stops, shims, etc.?

You should be okay with 600lb, you can always easily swap to a 650lb or 700lb springs later. Shims, you won't know if you need until after if you are getting vibrations, but those are cheap enough to buy later ($30). You might also want to buy a leaf pack for the rear. I carry almost no weight so I went with the Medium Duty Dakar leaf pack. If you'll have weight in the rear you might want to do a heavy duty leaf pack.

Running 700lb on my fronts cause I have full steel plates and will be adding a front bumper in the next year or so. If you have any weight already or plan to in the near future you should save yourself the money now and just go 650. 3rd gens are already a bit heavier up front so the 650 won’t be stiff

Is the 650# an option from any dealer? Going through headstrongs site and only options are 600 or 700. I have the aluminum CBI skid but the steel sliders and prinsu. I hate the nose dive when braking with the stock setup.

I have been emailing back and forth. Marie seemed to be more for that than a phone call. Just emailed her to see if it is an option. I got a quote for $3500 shipped from a different vendor than headstrong for front/rear EXT kings with adjusters and total chaos UCA which I thought was a good deal. Its about $200 more through headstrong.

Then go with that vendor. Save the 200

I have full steel skids, front bumper, and a winch. Mine has 700lb springs. They work fine. I had to add a bunch of preload before I swapped out.

And speaking from someone who has changed coils before, unless you have specific tools for this job (aka not from a parts store rental) swapping coils isn’t exactly easy.

I've done it once before with rental gear and it was sketchy at best. I don't have the tools. I think I would be fine with 600 but the 650 is probably my sweet spot. For my lifestyle and this being my DD I really doubt I will ever add a bumper and winch. If I did it would be 99% for the looks at the mall.

Haha. Yep. I feared for my life when I swapped mine.

Maxed out my 18v impact and had to use a large ratchet. About 3/4 way through the tool started to bend. For some reason I added safety glasses at that point. Which likely would have done nothing if the tool exploded.

You had the good kind. We had THESE janky things V Ended up holding the air gun in one hand, and using my buddy's SWAT shield in the other.

Have you seen mine? It’s purely a pavement ride? Maybe 1-2 times a year it sees dirt. :anonymous:
