It might be 2241. Dyslexia setting in. I have 74k on the truck but about 61k on current engine.

If it is the 2241, then it could just be a bad AFR sensor (this is your front o2 sensor). @Roostfactor i know you've had AFR sensor codes in the past, as we've talked a little about this w/ the bosch sensors. Do you remember if the p2238 was for driver bank, and then the p2241 was for passenger bank?

P2238 is bank 1 (passenger side)
P2241 is bank 2 (drivers side)

Why does someone have that code? That indicates a sensor biased rich if I remember correctly.

Leaner is faster lol. I feel like my truck always go rich under boost unless my rpms are 2500 or lower.

How much are you flowing. I seem to be maxing out at 322gm/s and I’ve never had a p0103

Yep, get shift flares from time to time and I put a 45k mile trans with the transgo shift kit in it a year ago. But also, my truck falls on its face when it shifts into second if I drive it nice. As long as I drive it like I like to it is fine going into second. Have my old trans I want to rebuild and send the valve body to IPT.

Would be cool to see the difference from the ipt and the transgo kit. I know not physically, but just from feel. I have to say the shift flare has only happened this one time since I had the ratiotek kit installed. My biggest annoyance with the trans is it forgets about 5th gear a lot.

P2238 O2 Sensor Positive Current Control Circuit Low Bank 1 Sensor 1
    OBD-II Trouble Code Technical Description

O2 Sensor Positive Current Control Circuit Low Bank 1 Sensor 1

    What does that mean?
This is a generic diagnostic trouble code (DTC) and applies to many OBD-II vehicles (1996-newer). That may include but is not limited to vehicles from Toyota, BMW, Lexus, Audi, etc. Although generic, the exact repair steps may vary depending on year, make, model and powertrain.

A stored code P2238 means that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a positive current discrepancy in the upstream oxygen (O2) sensor for engine bank number one. Bank one is the engine bank that contains the number one cylinder. Sensor 1 denotes the upstream (pre-cat) sensor. The positive current control circuit is a low voltage circuit.

In order to monitor the exhaust oxygen content for each engine bank, as well as catalytic converter efficiency, the PCM uses data input from heated oxygen sensors (HO2S).

Oxygen sensors are constructed using a zirconium dioxide sensing element situated in the center of a vented steel housing. Small platinum electrodes are soldered between the sensing element and wire leads in the oxygen sensor harness connector. The O2 sensor harness connector plugs into the controller area network (CAN) which attaches the HO2S wiring harness to the PCM connector.

Each HO2S is threaded (or studded) into an exhaust pipe or manifold. It is positioned so that the the sensing element is near the center of the pipe. Spent exhaust gases exit the combustion chamber (via the exhaust manifold) and continue through the exhaust system (including catalytic converters); flowing over the oxygen sensors. Exhaust gases flow into the oxygen sensor through specially designed vent holes in the steel housing and swirl around the sensing element. Drawn through wire lead cavities in the sensor housing, the air fills a tiny chamber in the middle of the sensor. The heated air (in the tiny chamber) forces the oxygen ions to produce energy that is recognized by the PCM as voltage.

Variations between the number of O2 ions in ambient air, and the number of oxygen molecules in the exhaust, cause the heated oxygen ions inside the HO2S to bounce from one platinum layer to the other, very swiftly and repetitively. As the surging oxygen ions shift between platinum layers, variations in HO2S output voltage occur. The PCM sees these variations in HO2S output voltage as changes in exhaust oxygen concentration.

Voltage signal outputs from the HO2S are lower when more oxygen is present in the exhaust (lean condition) and higher when less oxygen is present in the exhaust (rich condition). This portion of the HO2S uses low voltage (less than one-volt).

In a separate section of the sensor, the HO2S is preheated using battery voltage (12-volts). When engine temperature is low, battery voltage heats up the HO2S so that it can begin to monitor exhaust oxygen content faster.

If the PCM detects a degree of voltage that is too low and not commiserate with acceptable parameters, a P2238 will be stored and a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) may be illuminated. Most vehicles will require multiple ignition cycles (with a failure) for MIL illumination.

Mine never forgets about 5th with 4.88's and only 34's. Lol. I want a 6th gear.

Pretty sure this is just a glitch with the TRD tune and the MAF sensor. I never had this code when running the UCon

I feel like mine kinda does the same thing, trying to track it down. Sometimes it just feels like my foot just slipped off the gas pedal. It’s a little weird sometimes. I’m classifying it as more of a minor nuisance at this point.

I also have 4.88’s and 315’s. Certainly echo your need for a 6th gear! Probably would have been better off with 4.56’s

I had some stock gears with 33.4” tires and it was just ok. When I upped the size to the 315’s I couldn’t get the tranny to find a gear it liked on the freeway. Totally undrivable. I will say the 35’s with 4.88’s really hauls the mail. You can also watch the gas gauge sweep left in real time.
