Get any mud in your air filter? I try to remember to turn mine around if I'm on a muddy trail otherwise the snorkel tends to suck it through to the filter

OEM Toyota cats are stupid expensive, I was quoted almost $3k for both front and rear from Toyota to replace mine on my Tacoma.

Luckily, there are CARB approved options available for some vehicles and I got front/rear Magnaflows installed for $600 and passed smog a month later with flying colors.

Check and see if you have similar options available for the Camry, I'm sure there are since it's an older one. Newer vehicles tend to have even stricter regulations so they have more limited options.

Yeah but that don't matter, this is the US, we have zero affordable healthcare for the average man. Mental health issues are bound to run unchecked. The whole country already thinks, "feel better" is a solution to depression and anxiety is just "nerves".

Yeah, definitely will check on any aftermarket available that are compliant. If it was the tacoma I wouldn't mind the OE cost but its NOT the taco... lol

What really blows is not only the Camry but the wife's car has been giving me trouble with the CAT as well. Tired of clearing fault codes and then driving until clear to smog. Last year had to do that 3x with her car before it was clear long enough to pass. I'm in CAT hell. lol.

Perhaps time for a new vehicle. She's been going on and on about her commuter for a while now. Hmmmm... new RAV4? lol

A oem toyota cat is like 1700.

Aftermarket probably 500-700 for Cali approved but they don’t tend to last as long

If you can live data graph the car and control the fuel you’ll be able to see if the cars bad. The signal from the 02 should lag behind the air fuel sensor a second or so

If it’s up and down as fast as the air fuel you have a bad cat

Also.. I’ve never even seen that code. Didn’t know it existed lol. Usually it’s just p0420

You should see the live feed from my Taco, the cat has been gonzo for a year. I use the downstream as a backup for the upstream haha

Fancier cars that monitor the first cat and second cat separately will toss that code out to trick you

Going to have to check the feed. Hmmmm... I wonder if its that downstream sensor I replaced recently. Wonder if something is wonky with it. Denso sensor of course.
