I ran it to the cowl where the a/c intake is. Going to make a divider so the ac and intake aren’t fighting for air so much because I can somewhat feel it in my ac under WOT. Got the ideer from this guy https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/different-approach-to-a-snorkel.266449/

 

This would be a top choice for sure...

This is also on the top of the list. Throw the 5.7 in there and supercharge it. Truck would be an absolute monster

Yep, probably what id do and then id have to figure out someway to adapt a m/t to the 5.7

Not really sure why everyone drools over the hilux's on this site. I cant stand the way they look, now those FJ's on the other hand though..

I wonder if i could get a 4wd tranny, FJC t-case and swap those in to get 2wd low and high.. MMMMM.. just wouldnt put the front diff or axles in. this would also eliminate me needing a slip yoke fitted on my driveshaft to go LT if i buy a 4wd rear DS

 

You can even pick up an older Supra engine out of 86 to 93 Supra for less then 2k

Even that 2.5 TT 6 would make your taco fly

I think they were rated at 275 stock instead of 300

 

There used to be a shop here in SA that would install a fresh 350 for $2500. Custom installs, all fluids, proper break-in, a tank of gas, and a 90 day warranty on the workmanship. That was 2005 though.

Advanced adaptors can mill an adaptor for anything.

You're right, the new ones are hideous. The older Hilux trucks look like first gen Tacomas with a few subtle differences. The Hilux SUV looks exactly like older 4Runners, both come with a diesel A/T and M/T options.

Can't remember if they came with a solid front axle though.

The one in the pic has a solid axle.

 

The Supra was twin turbo from 86 up just they used smaller 2.5 liter until 93

 

YESSS now thats a good looking hilux. The new stuff looks like a honda ridgeline
