No trouble at all. It comes with basic directions, but I also followed the video I linked in the first post. Those two things combined and I had zero issues.

So I have heard that the Toyota 8 and Toyota 8.4 both use an 8" ring gear but the 8.4 uses a stud girdle. Everything I see about the no-slip says its for the 8 and my year is not under vehicle fitment. I have a 2011 DCLB TRD Sport 4x4 with the 4.0 V6 tow package and I believe a 8.4 with 3.73 gears and open carrier with the electronic LSD, door code AT/M:A04C/A750F. When I had contacted East Coast Gear Supply while looking at a Spartan TV6-SL-30 and they said it would not work and referred me to the Lock Right 1615. So just wondering what the hell I need to buy that will work. Any thoughts?

It’s certainly confusing as hell. I had to cross reference a lot of different sites to figure out what exactly I needed. I believe the 1615 will fit your rear end, because you and I have the same diff and I wanna say I remember that being an option I could’ve gone. I would recommend the one I linked in the op though. Same locking characteristics as the 1615 with better on road manners.

Yeah what I was thinking just confused as to the website says 8 not 8.4 and the year isnt listed on the fitment yet its the same size ring gear? But if it works I guess it works?o_O

8” lockers do not fit 8.4” diffs. They have a different carrier.

Exactly so the link he provided is for an 8 yet he has an 8.4 but it works. This is why I am confused.
