I think this means you fall into the earlier category of asshole.

You're right however, if you talk crap to me I may smile or laugh IF you're witty and creative. But I after spending a bit of time in the military I have pretty thick skin and don't get offended very easily by people I don't care about. However, there is a common courtesy you give others, especially when they ask for help. Go ahead, talk trash to your buddies but being a douchebag to others when they ask for help... You'll just highlight the fact that you are an asshole.

Well, if the shirt doesn’t fit you shouldn’t be offended. I look at is as a play on words.

Call it what you want, but it’s all about having a positive attitude if you want positive results. If you start off your tenor here by being stand offish or calling names and just assuming how our members behave themselves, that’s a bad way to approach people who could potentially be of help in the future. Either way, you are fighting a losing battle for this guy if you want to justify his shitty attitude. I think there are many more constructive ways to convey a message without talking shit or bringing up his ex wife and all that nonsense. Have a good one.

I like what you're preaching brother. Sometimes I won't post because of A-holes like that. You can't learn if you don't ask. Ask you can't ask if people put down your questions.

I think it boils down to what is being asked honestly. If it’s a simple searchable or controversial question that has numerous previous threads... That generally leads to comments that people may not want to hear. It’s everyone’s responsibility (including me) to at least try and search for answers before just starting another thread. All of these “questions” turn into threads you have to sift through to find the good information. Less is more in the long run.

Agreed. It does clutter the forum with redundant questions. We know that because we see it all the time. But do new people know that? Not everyone is well versed on forum etiquette. That's why there's the old saying "if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all". A simple suggestion to search goes a lot further than bashing for a common question.

You all have to look at this
Its like you wrote your question on a piece of cardboard in crayon.... and are now standing on that street corner holding your sign..... yeah you may get one or two answers, but most likely people will just yell obscenities and throw shit at you.

The more intelligent the question... the less shit will be thrown

Having read your post and the daltontr post, I gotta agree with the daltontr. A better solution is for the Post Police to just ignore the post and not answer the question. There are bigger fish to fry. Problem solved.
