Normally I prefer to go through my insurance company and let them deal with the other person's insurance. When the other person is insured, they'll usually waive cover your copay, since they'll be collecting from the other side anyhow.

And... You'll be fine. The damage sounds pretty minor, so you probably don't even need a good body shop. You'll be fixed in a few days.

I thought that too but when I called USAA they said I’d have to pay my co pay of 500 to get it fixed through them. If their insurance is a headache then I’ll just end up using mine and just pay it.

You have the offenders info and your company still wants you to pay ahead of time? I'd terminate my policy as soon as this is fixed to your satisfaction. F that

Off topic query. Rings aren't covered under homeowners?

I’m not 100% on that I had the ring insured before the house and pay 65 a year to insure her wedding ring.

Take a ratchet strap and attract it around something solid. Like a telephone pole or something, and look it around the side of the bumper that’s pushed in. Give it a couple ratchets until the bumper is back where it should be. Problem solved

No, he said he filed a claim through their insurance company. If it turns into a head ach then he will pay the $500 dollar deductible through his insurance company.

I’m saying it can be fixed with a ratchet strap. If her insurance wants to cut a check that’s on them. I would fix the damage myself and pocket the money. Or if I was left to claim it through my insurance I wouldn’t and just fix it myself for nothing
