Murica'ing my car a bit and some active duty pride. Did vent/rain guards and forgot to post pics. Can somewhat see it in the flag photo

Reverse LEDs, rear brakes, and HIDs next

I did it myself. Took about an hour total but I took my time. Hardest part is all the plastic tabs that hold it in. Go slow and be careful because the tabs can break easily. I didn't break any on mine so it all worked out. Search youtube for a video on removing the grill and watch that first.

Got tired of the random crashes from the rear, every time some unsecured item when sliding hither and yon across that tough buy slippery composite deck. Perhaps the straw that broke the camels back was the order of groceries I fetched....I thought that eggs and milk mashed into ready made french toast was kind of a cool concept; evidently I was incorrect....

There are a gazillion places to go buy bed mats, so it was with a certain degree of amazement that the dealership where I bought the truck had the lowest price by far, waaay beat out the local aftermarket suppliers, as well as Amazon and Ebay.

And even with it actively snowing, I could do the install, for the entire 30 seconds it took...made me feel like I deserved to keep my man card.

Oh, on a side note....when I was a kid, big piles of snow in a mall parking lot - courtesy of those nice chaps with the loaders trying to scrape out parking spots early in the morn - were magnets for kids with sleds and toboggans and krazy karpets...that still holds. My thought was that since the kids were using the big pile of snow, what would be the harm in trying my crawl control with the smaller pile.

    Humph.

Seems the little wanna-be storm troopers from mall security have a different opinion. I think they were just jealous, knowing their little electric golf carts wouldn't near the traction my Taco did.

But it was still fun doing donuts in the fresh snow.bed mat w.jpg bed mat.jpg

Look up the app in the App Store of you haven’t already. It’s laughable. How can a progressive car company make such incredible vehicles with such awful in-car entertainment?

Do you know who it was or have a link? I’ve been thinking about this exact same setup.

Good luck with that voice navigation. “Route me to McDonalds in Austin, TX”
“I found 6 locations matching Mike Dongo’s in Boston Massachusetts, select the one you want”

Added these valve stem caps. Not exactly a color match but I think they look cool. Should give me about 6hp and 3 mpg's. Let's see how long they last before someone snags them. It's probably the cheapest $5 mod I've done to my taco.IMG_20190212_182413.jpg

Is anyone else suffering from the North eastern weather? I am having fantasies of it being spring and me spending 3-4 hours just detailing my truck
