Beater lost brakes after I hit a pothole in traffic today. Downshifting to 1st and using the ebrake was fun on my hour ride home.

@boogie3478 it was right after I left your house

Im guessing the pothole tore a brake line? Or the slave cylinder died?

That was my guess as well. Maybe a hard line was rusted and it broke off or something and you lost all brake pressure.

Couldn't see if any fluid was lost, because the roads are wet.

If its the soft lines, I'll replace them and keep going. If its the hard lines, I might donate it and get a different beater.

Dealers are something else's sometimes ..

I finished work early today and stopped by my local dealership for an oil change (and to clear 'Maintenance' light). Due to circumstances, I could not wait anymore and eventually left the truck with them. Got a call that it was ready and I picked it up 20 mins before closing . 'Fucktards' forgot to do the oil change! Like fucking really?!
They performed a 25K maintenance which was "topping off fluids and tire rotation" !! Fluids... They don't touch the transmission, rest of essentials were within norm, and I topped off windshield washer last night, you know, because of shitty weather (snow, sleet, rain). Of course they didn't grease the "propeller shaft", and couldn't perform a TSB I asked for, but they did remember to fucking wash and dry it! In snow and sleet and rain!!

This was really a teaching moment for me. I think I'm really done with them this time. I'm not even mad anymore, I think it's borderline hilarious!

That means you would only work 100 days. Thats like 2 months! :yay:

I am still hating my job. Looking for anything else. Even considering a little less $. I do have weekends off which is a plus. We will see. Ive been saving my time off so I can take off 3 weeks and drive cross country

    Yup:thumbsup:
Its 3 12s a week with 10 holidays and 15ish PTO days. It has it's down sides. Its night shift and I'm responsible for 50 employees which can be overwhelming at times.

We are hiring starting around 30$/hr for cnc/robotics experience .

If you have entry level positions, ill come work for you. I dont have cnc or robotics experience, but I would like some.

I just applied for a night shift position at my company. Not sure if I will get it. Im used to/like the 12 hour shifts already. I did that for 7 years.
