An American complaining about a French person that can’t pronounce something the way he wants them to, while being corrected (by a Canadian) that the guy in question is Russian, not french.

    Well I am.

So an American complaining about an “I’m not American” in the U.S. complaining about everything else. It doesn’t change much.

The Dealer could not get you an OR Manual Access Cab because they don't sell them in the USA.

I know that’s the problem. There’s a ton manual, Offroad, access cab first gens out there, I still see them all over. They made that combo in second gens too. It’s dumb they won’t offer it in 3rd gens. Id have bought a brand new 2016 if they did instead of a low mileage 2015.

So you want an engine that costs more to buy, more to operate, more to maintain, and will not be anymore reliable than a comparable gas engine?

This was a shock when I went to the dear to get my 16 (came from second gen AC MT). That combination was perfect. Fortunately I used my locker only a handful of times in the past so I felt okay getting into a sport. What's stupid is I wish I had a DC now due to life changes so I really could have just got an OR.

I use to really like TFL truck, until Andre stepped out from behind the camera and started giving his straight out of the brochure opinions on vehicles. They should have had Nathan do the toyota interview because he has driven tacomas for years.

I’m completely torn on the diesel debate. I have a TDI Jetta that gets 47-56 mpg no matter what. That diesel torque curve makes it a blast to drive. However it does require more maintenance ie. dual clutch transmission and timing belt and increased fuel filter changes. With the higher tax on diesel in the US, the higher initial upfront cost and additional maintenance there is no real cost savings. You have to just want a diesel just for the sake of it or pull a trailer on a consistent basis. Doing the math for my car in particular I save $0.05 per mile. My biggest hang up to diesel vehicles are the D-bags with that pull the emissions equipment, slap an oversized turbo on the stupid thing without a good tune and dump soot everywhere. End rant.

I'm not anti diesel. If you pull 8,000# or heavier trailers daily then a diesel makes perfect sense. For a midsize or half ton truck it simply does not pay to buy diesel.

You are correct, in my understanding the higher tax on diesel negates any benefits for average every day usage. However if we all looked at practicability, cost of ownership and mpgs (which I don’t). A mini van would serve 80% (just a guesstimate) of American ‘s needs. One of my co workers who has no kids at home, does NOT pull a trailer drives a DC GMC Denali diesel with a lift and 35s AND emissions equipment removed. Just my thoughts..

most people realize these are mid sized trucks and expect mid sized power numbers which is what it has. yeah theyre not jaw dropping but theyre also not under powered. I have no issues going 80 up grades or passing on the freeway. It hauls my boat just fine going 70. These trucks have as much power as a full size did 15 years ago and more than first gen tundras. If you want full size v8 power then go buy a full size v8.
