There are a few Chinese factories that make most of the RTTs on the market. I have a Tuff Stuff RTT that is nearly identical to the Smittybilt one, got it for 800 cash because I picked it up in person locally. Although you can occasionally find a slightly better deal on the Smittybilt version if ebay or 4WP is having a big sale.

No complaints here on mine, used it several times over the past 10 months and it's been great. I can't see the justification in getting one that costs $2k or more like some of the big name brand ones, other than the fact they might sleep one or two more people. But that's a hefty price tag for a RTT.

 

Finding a restaurant downtown with reservations for this Thursday has been a nightmare. Guess I shouldn't have waited till today.

I still have PTSD from the last time I tried to park in a garage downtown. I set off the overheight alarm with my CB antenna. I'm like only 6-8 inches from the ceiling in most garages.

I used to sell vintage Rebels, Rapalas, and Penns. This was barely half of the stock I used to have.

 

It's okay, my Expos on the front/passenger side have started popping like crazy unless I douse them in Tri Flow once a week. No idea why that works but it does. They'll pop like crazy in that spot whenever they flex the slightest bit otherwise. Torque is good, bushings are greased, etc. I give up on leaf springs until I become rich and can afford to change them yet again, because next time I'm going to get a custom Alcan or Deaver pack made and be done with it

I had to hang drywall in one of those in winter outside a building in Tahoe. It was on uneven snow packed ground with wind. F-that. A sheet of drywall in wind is bad enough but 50ft up on a pendulum

We're nice and warm with the inversion. 48 degrees. Starting to rain
