like the title says, if you could do it over again what would you change? color, packages, cab, transmission...

for me, it would have to be the color. i was told i was getting white but when i got there all they had was red. oh well it could be worse *cough* speedway blue *cough*

Hey! I like my Speedway Blue & specified it when looking :p

    BUT

I would change only 1 thing......I think I would have ordered or waited for the 09. I like the backup camera & the aux input for the stereo on the 09.
I had the option of "flipping" an 09 in production but they found an 08 in what I wanted 250 miles away so I took it.

Well, with Speedway Blue....I "GOT" the color I wanted and didn't settle for one that I "DIDN'T" want. And imagine that, you didn't press on for the color you wanted. Looks like the dealer won and now has your number. I wonder what else he'll be able to "push" on you.....?

08 stock is extremely limited in Texas and for me to get all of the options i really wanted i was willing to give a little on the color. after all it was my second choice.

dont get me wrong speedway is a really nice color, i was just worried about how i would feel about it down the line

About the only thing that I'm on the fence on in regards to my truck is the transmission. I'm seeing right about 19mpg with my manual, and wish I had the better fuel efficiency of the automatic. Though, I prefer manuals, and suppose that I could always regear to improve the fuel efficiency.

I get 20 with an automatic. Truck is still tight but that was an average from Columbia SC to Tampa FL and back. I drive a 10 speed and 13 speed transmission during the day. It's sooooooooooooooooo nice to just select "D".

I like the idea of the aux input on the 09, but oh well I can upgrade that later

I bought the exact truck I was looking for. In fact there were two dealers closer to my house. Then the 2009 models came out and I wish I had waited. The standard side airbags, the aux input, and the nicer backseats in the access cab are the reasons for my minor remorse. I do love my truck though, and you can't wait forever. Something better will always come around.

i think the only option i DIDNT get was a sunroof...sooo yeah i'd like one of those during the summer

I also bought mine used and as the availability of a 4x4 TRD xcab in the 01-04 in my price and mileage range was incredibly low...i had to take impulse red and run with it

works out tho because i ended up with a superior color truck than all of yall :Djk

I got exactly what I wanted - SPEEDWAY BLUE!! I've been in love with that color all my life and I finally got a vehicle in that color!!

Options remorse? The only remorse I have - is the lack of stuff this truck has. I would've paid for a fully loaded truck!! And I mean...fully loaded!! power seats, nav system, homelink, heated seats, heated mirrors, power rear window, memory seats, ipod integration, computer console with data (like a scangauge but with more data!)...etc etc etc.

Should have gotten the tow package. And while I really like the indigo ink blue, my next vehicle will be black.

TRD Sport but only because of the steering wheel controls. Yeah, I know it seems petty but that's the only thing I really miss from my Altima (well, and the power and handling).

Options I wish I could get but aren't offered: Power seats and power rear slider.

    Sista. ;)
