Gas tank next to inverter AND fuse box is what I'm thinking.

I spoke with Graeme today regarding getting the camper updates applied to mine, specifically to address water intrusion.

I continue to be impressed by how seriously these guys take customer service, especially given that in their business doing right by the customer can mean driving across the country.

yeah, that's what happens when i use a reaaaaally big cast iron pan one night, never caught on fire, just a little blackened and it's water not fuel. but good point about having an extinguisher.

Oh, haha. I was really only looking at the electronics and wiring setup. Fuse box above the fuel tank is an interesting consideration that I have never though of before. I am still not convinced it is a huge risk but I guess it couldn't hurt to move all that stuff to the passenger side when I do mine.

yeah i guess it's a theoretical risk. not one i'm overly concerned about given all the other wiring that goes close to the fuel tank etc. i think likelihood of a significant fire at the fuse box is pretty low. same with the inverter.

Same. I haven’t seen any leaderboard updates in a week so I’m guessing the 3 week “delay” is happening. I’m resisting the urge to message them unnecessarily.

When I got my GFC installed in December, Graeme mentioned that they were getting a new improved tailgate seal for the rear panel and that would be sent out to all owners retroactively, but not sure this is going to happen? Any news out there on this?

Mine was delivered last week and I have the updates. Anyone that has had theirs scheduled for delivery should have them starting a few weeks ago. Mine was built back in October, but had a color issue that required them to take it back. They brought it with the new updates and correct colors. Sounds like any pending deliveries will be re-worked before delivery.

I would go to the website and request a call back to confirm, or request that it be updated if it wasn't already planned to do so. Keep in mind the new sealing has cure times of up to a week.

GFC is going to pick up my camper, take it back to their shop to install the new sealing system and return it to me at no cost. Although a roadtrip to MT is generally a good thing in my mind, so we may plan to go pick it up ourselves when the work is done.

Carrying propane in a (semi) sealed space is iffy. Same basically goes for gasoline (no matter how nice well those Scepter's work). Throw in a bunch of other cargo, family members and bouncing around off-road and one should consider the risks.

The flooring though, that's pimp :)
