Anyone else have a distinct rattle coming from the dashboard of a new 2019 TRD Sport? Mine has developed a very noticeable rattle in the dashboard. It's almost like the radio/CD player is loose.

That the OEM Toyota Standard Noise Maker.

If you don't have auto-headlights the little cover for the hole that the sensor would normally be in, on the right side of the dash, is probably loose. Stick a toothpick in the gap and break it off below dash height.

The only rattle mine has is the passenger A pillar. Finally figured out that’s where it was coming from a few weeks ago. I had my daughter searching while I was driving. When she put her hand on the pillar, it stopped. I took it apart and tried to fix it. I was completely silent for a few days.
Now, it’s worse than it was before.
    Damnit!

Guess I need to get back in there and try something different.

Put a little piece of rubber, or soft foam (caulk backer rod ) between speaker cover and A-Pillar.

Tons of remedies in here. Try searching and you'll find them. The third gen does have a documented issue with the dash and Toyota will fix it for you if you want.

Or you could do it yourself

I’ll have to try that. I just lined the edges of the A pillar cover with a few strips of electrical tape.

I tried the felt on the ps tweeter cover and it did not help as the noise seemed more towards the center of the dash. Ended up using this round foam insulation and stuffed it between the dash and windshield, that took care of it.

Black adhesive felt. Pull the A pillar and speaker grill. Apply the felt to the areas where they touch and around the clip/tongue areas. Reassemble.

Search is your friend. Two longstanding threads on this with solutions posted in them.

I have one that goes away if you push down on the bezel right above the radio. It's not all the time so it doesn't really bug me yet. Should be easy enough to fix.

I have one on the passenger side speaker grille little dot thing. I think some say it’s fhe auto headlight sensor. If you touch it it stops rattling. Also get a rattling up in the area where the crawl control button is. That whole plastic console thing up ahead. Touch it, it stops. Gotta figure out how to fix.

Shakerhood, where did you get that foam. How long is it and what is the diameter and circumference.
