    Didn’t we decide that 322 was the range of the TRD tune? Came home from the gym this am. Punched it in 3rd on a quiet little neighborhood street...noise and 322 on the Ultragauge like now! Shifted, dropped to 321.89 and I had to brake.

    I made two more pulls on the hwy this a.m. and 322 is clearly the top end. This makes me want to go with OV or something. My mechanic buddy started talking about Haltech... I have to finish my 80 first before I jump down another rabbit hole burning money.

    This also says to me that 322x1.18=380 crank hp (isn't 1.18 what we decided?). 400 was always my goal. Maybe I'm there. This is fun.

    If the stock TRD tune knows it's "limitations" then it would make since if there was a code or alert thrown if the ECU sees values outside of it's expected range. As if the ECU thinks the MAF sensor is malfunctioning. It would be interesting to see if this code is associated with too many grams per second readings on the MAF. Like if everyone saw the code if they hit 325 grams per second, or something like that. If this is true, it would explain one of the reasons the UCON group doesn't see this code. It would certainly be programed to either ignore this, or have a higher threshold.

    When you hit 322 do you still feel increased pull?
    I have the same issue and the ovtune flash will also because it's built on the TRD tune

    I did MAF pulls for both TRD and OvTune handheld 93 and both are limited to displaying 322 g/s even when the truck feels like it's still pulling beyond that

    Oh yeah, I'm not at redline and it's still pulling. I think all of us that have the 2.5/2.6" with headers, hi-flow exhaust, larger throttle body, etc. are making about the same hp. I thought OV expanded the tables beyond the TRD tune. Hmm...

    No I'm pretty sure OVTune just wrote over the TRD tune on the same table. He did say that with his new software he can patch the ECU to further expand the size of the tables beyond what the TRD calibration does...if there's enough demand

    I didn't notice this until the Ucon, I wonder if it is worth reaching out to them about it? But also, at this point it is just a nuisance. I will take the way my truck runs with the Ucon over the TRD anyday. And 4.56's would be much better, until I hook up to the 7800 lbs of camper and go run up the mountain passes.

    Question for everyone with headers, what gaskets are you running? I used the factory gaskets I believe and I noticed what sounded like an exhaust leak coming out of my passenger wheel well while airing up from snow wheeling last weekend. Should I go with the factory gaskets or has anyone found a better set. I am also not positive if I even replaced them when I went from factory to the DTLT's and then again when I went to the URD spec.U's. Need to go do some receipt shopping because I might have gotten too excited and just installed without new gaskets. I do know that I have replaced the doughnut "monster" gaskets a few times already. Used to burn those up when I was on the ultra rich TRD tune.

    I don't know how you do it! the day I put the 35's on with my stock 3.73 gears, I hated life. The FJ is not what you'd call aerodynamic, and I have a pretty tall rack. Every time the wind would shift on the highway, the tranny was kicking out of overdrive. I put 35's on when I had 173,000 hard miles on it.

    I used factory gaskets with a small coating of high temp silicone header sealant. Before you pull the headers, you might try and check the nuts for tightness. There's a lot of vibrations and thermal expansion/contraction happening. maybe you can get off easy with just a torque check.

    I'm running factory metal gaskets on my DTSTs. Planned on using new factory gaskets again for my URD headers. Someone told me to double up and use two factory gaskets on each side but that seems like it could be more prone to leaks.

    I've been considering sending them an email on it. The other little side effect I have since my new engine and Ucon set up is when I'm accelerating while "at speed" not necessarily a take off. If I hit a bump while I'm on the throttle, the engine surges then unloads and surges and unloads. Just like traction control is kicking in. Its very strange. I don't know if this is a tranny issue or an ECU issue. The other issue you spoke of earlier makes me think it could be related to ECU. For the record I have not installed my ratiotek kit yet....Trying to get that done this month.

    Here is how it breaks out for header stud replacements

    build dates of 2004-09 through 2011-09 take (12) 90126-08052 and
    build dates of 2011-09 through 2015/08 take (6) 90126-08052 and (6) 90126-08056

    Toyota will give absolutely no specs on what they are, but I think I remember mine being a M8x1.25 bolt I used for one of the studs, maybe M6?

    I think the P0103 code occurs when you hit the throttle and max out your MAF gm/s and you either sustain those gm/s too long or you stab the throttle and get to max out then let off. That is usually what occurs when I get the code.
