I'm seriously getting the itch to get another Z. After driving a 350z for 10 years. I think I want a 370z....they are a hair under 30k

in fact when I bought my 350z back in 2005 they were still a hair under 30k.

Price has not changed in 14 years and that is amazing!

and I'm talking about the base model.

 

It's not a matter of competence. In the moment when you are not paying well enough attention (yes, you too) the collision avoidance system will stop your vehicle faster than you ever could. That's comforting for you and the person you might have otherwise hit.

 

It's good for everybody. But, like everything, it doesn't work perfectly every time. Sort of like the rear cross traffic alert and avoidance setup. That irritates me more than anything because it violently slams on the brakes at slow speed and freaks everyone out and almost every time it was unnecessary. I knew the traffic was there, the traffic knew I was backing out and was allowing me to do it, but the car didn't care. It kept slamming on the brakes and the other drivers must have thought I was an idiot.

 

This feature would piss off the Wife

 

Haha! My first car was my Uncle's 1976 Datsun 260z (2+2). The deal was, I work for him all summer and the car was my payout . It was a great 1st car for a 16 yo teenager in 1983! I would have said I got my first piece of ass in it, but he lent me his Porsche 924 that night!

I agree. And airbags are for people with weak faces.

 

Great car for the money. Especially in manual trans. Hard to believe they're still the same price as they were a decade ago.

 

The new automatic cruise control sucks, drove an Avalon with it. Terrible. BSM is nice though. Lane departure is crap too.

 

The auto cruise works excellent in my Camry. But the power to weight ratio is better in that car than a Tacoma so maybe that's why. Less need to upshift and downshift while adjusting speed.

 

I have a 2016 and missed the safety add on's. I think its kind of cool you can have that automatic braking thing with an MT. I Can't tell if I'm missing out or not. Before this my 'newest' car was a 2008 S4 so to me working bluetooth was such an upgrade, I never even realized what else was out there lol.

 

YES! I miss the stick-shift!
